Took my 97 teg out to the strip...hit a 14.357 :)

Just wanna share.
Im still amazed that i hit 14.3s with a b18c1 with usdm pistons, egay 4-1 headers, stock gsr cat to 2.5 inch piping with no mufler. The trany is a ls tranny with exedy OE ebay clutch. For the intake all i had was a ghetto short ram with no filter. IM, cams, injectors is al stock. Was on a oem gsr ecu. Tires were kumho ecstas with 20 psi. Launching it at 5500.
I took out the spare, side panels, rear seats, and passenger seat while i was working on some electrical isues and decided to hit the track and se what it does.....Was shoked and didnt believe it at first.
Heres the slip layout.
I1- 2.177...is this the 60 foot thing..?
I2- 6.008
I3- 9.226
MPH (I3)- 75.637
I4- 12.010
E.T.- 14.357
MPH- 97.617
Can any guestimate how much power its laying down to the wheels.

At first I was nice numbers till I read the "LS tranny" part then I was like yeah RRrrrrrrrrrright!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean by that. Is that good or bad. I pass the traps at the end of the quarter mile bouncing of the rev limiter. If that explains anuthing. Ill post up a vid eventually once i get my camcorder back of me vs a type r at the track.

I feel the " embarrassment". Our track here in Muncie IN wasn't so good that day I went. I had a rough launch and missed 3rd by a long shot and ran a 16.4 trapping 88 mph and a .20something RT. And to make it worse i have somehow a torqued motor mount on the tranny side.

Great times. So pretty much you have a jdm gsr/sir-g motor with a ls tranny. Kind of hard to believe with the tranny and in a DC body.

Basically usdm itr pistons on gsr rods with arp rod bolts if im not mistaking and a ls tranny with stock gsr cams. When i race from rools with my budies ho have gsr trannies....i shift 200-300 rpms later then them....gay.

Intake (short ram)
Stage 1 clutch
10lbs flywheel
short shifter
I'm in the middle of putting in some JDM ITR pistons.

Oh snap....this reminded me that i have an exedy 8 pound flywheel and a BnN short shifter as weel. I also have another slip were i hit a 14.390.....Ill post up the specs on it once i get home and ill upload the vid of me racing some type r.

Mi original plan was itr pistons and a pnp b16 head with ctr cams. I sold the ctr cams....and now building a b20v on e85 and 13ish compresion. Kinda regret selling the ctr cams now. Culda slaped them in and the b16 head and use my chipped p28ecu that i sold as well and tune it and run 13s.
