Pop the old tie rod ball joints loose using a pickle fork (fastest way, but usually destroys the boot, no matter if you have new tie rods going on), then loosen the lock nut, and unscrew/rotate the tie rod end to get it off the inner tie rod. Count the number of turns it takes to remove it so you get the new ones in approximately the same place. After installing the new ones, go straight to a shop to get the car aligned, because it's most definitely going to need it.
