hey ive been hearing about spoon integras, so i just want to know what a spoon integra bc i typed it in yahoo but no help...any can explain or elaborate

Spoon is a company like mugen that makes aftermarket parts for hondas and such... and when doing roadcourse racing like most companies they sponsored some hondas and gave them all the same color sceme and put there trusted Spoon products to work.

its simply a sponsored car was never a model like a GSR or Type R

I can't remember where, but I recall reading an article that Spoon Integras are nothing more than OEM Integras with matched and balanced OEM internals. Of course, that may be referring to the engine only. This increases efficiency and reliability, but not horsepower.

he had an OEM type R wing before and i think was looking for something for some serious down force. if you knew the real cost of that wing, it ain't no "fast and furious" pricing.

i don't care what it costs. does the cost of the wing actually make it perform better? i've seen the same style on nopi for like 200 bucks. i understand the material, and the weight of the wing, but cost? so if someone put one on their eclipse it would make it handle better? or would a 200 dollar wing suffice?

maybe im wrong but i dont think thats accurate. spoon motors rev to what? 11,000 rpm. if it is OEM internals,,, the engineers at spoon are geniuses

Its tough to say. For an average driver no, but for someone looking to get that extra second on the track then yes.

Some of the more expensive wings have more research & data put into it. The wings profile, endplate size and design, and height all make a big difference in the amount of downforce created.

I'm sure i'm leaving out tons of info on this, but I honestly don't know much about this.

Acutally, I agree with 13loody, well atleast from what I've heard.

I've read they have a stack of OEM rods/pistons/etc. and they weight everything and pick 4 pistons and rods that are the same weight and use that to assemble a motor.

On a racecar it actually matters, on a street car, it doesn't. Type R wings actually serve a purpose as well.

Supposedly, under high speed braking the ITR spoiler has shown to help add some downforce to prevent the rear from getting as tail happy as it does.

Basically, under high speed braking the weight transfer heavily to the front, leaving the rear very light and it tends to wiggle/step out a little. From what I've heard it takes some getting use to. Also, to help combat this, your alignment specs can make a difference. IIRC, running some toe out in the rear helped against this.
