spark, gas,cranks wont start
Car is a 90 Acura Integra GS 5 speed with 170k miles on it
Alright so here is what happened, I was driving home from school and I stopped to get gas and I accidentally put 91 octane gas in, I usual run 87 cuz car is old and it runs like crap with better gas i don't know why. So then I got back on the freeway and drove about 7 miles then the car just lost power and couldn't do any thing so i pulled off to the side and from that point on it wont start.
Once I got it towed home I checked the fuel pump and its working the main relay is clicking and tried my ecu in my buddy's car so I know its good. After checking all the fuses i looked and im getting spark, then I pulled the valve cover and my tbelt is good and it didn't jump timing. So I pulled the return hose on the fuel rail and im getting gas to the rail so then I pulled my plugs and they are bone dry so I tried using a different resistor box and nothing so then changed my injectors with 2 different sets and still no gas is getting in the cylinder. I am getting power to the box and injector's. When I crank it the car backfires for a second.
Now im stuck and don't know what to check maybe the ignition coil? weak spark?? bad wiring??

Re: spark, gas,cranks wont start
I'd get a new set of plugs, even though they spark when out of the cylinder. My car did that once and took me two days and I checked EVERYTHING and couldn't find anything wrong with it, the plugs even sparked when grounded and I had someone crank it. I ended up throwing a new set of plugs in there and it fired right up and has ever since. Just something to try being plugs are only like $1.50 each for some NGK's.

Def check the distributor if you have a spare, by all means, double and triple check your belt/ignition timing.
I've had similar issues, It was the distributor...

If the plugs are dry, "I pulled my plugs and they are bone dry" the problem is no fuel, either no power or low power at the injectors, [make sure there is 12V+ at all the injectors with ign. switch in run or start] or there is no pulse from ECU/ECM, [check for 12V- pulse at each injector when cranking to start. 94

Re: spark, gas,cranks wont start
I checked the power to the injectors the day i got it towed home and they all have 12v. I was working alone so I couldn't check to see if they pulsated when I tried to start it,I will check all the compression and injectors when I get home.
