Sound like a scam?
I'm selling my car and this guy replied to my ad with broken english, at best, but most of all, I sense a scam, but I wanted to run in by you first. Here's his email:
Ok ,
Thanks to read from you and also thanks for the prompt reply concerning
the
sales of your car.Now that you have assured me that the car is in
perfect
condition,i will add $100 to your asking price I will like to purchase
the
car from you as soon as possible.Kindly delete the advert from the
website
today so that we can proceed.My mode of payment will be via Electronic
Check
Online(Qchex)Read more about echeck at http://www.qchex.com .I will be waiting
for
your name and
address and also valid email for Qchex plus phone number so that i will
send
the Echeck today.You will have to purchase some supplies to have it
printed
today before cashing it at your bank.The supplies are Check Paper and
Versa
Ink or Toner Ink at Shopping Mall or Stationery Store at cost of $40 I
will
wait for your bank to clear and verify the Echeck before we proceed
with the
shipment.

i dunno, you have to spend 40bucks to print the chech??? F*** that. Also, dont remove your ad untill the check is cleared and money is in your accout. I would say, scam

definately a scam...there was a thread about this in the GDD forum. Tell him to send you payment via paypal or money order, then tell him you'll go from there. Your the seller, you make the rules......

Beware, some scammers are sending payment in money orders and certified checks that later bounce...

scam, I was trying to sell my psp on ebay this same **** came up, they will use there fedex people to come pick it up and theyw ill pay me money via bidpay, dont do it that is a SCAM

how about u see if u recieve payment dont commit give it a shot what do u have to lose 40 bux see if u can talk to the guy on the phone u can tell if hes b/s on the phone atleast i could hope all goes well im lookin for a teg for my buddy send me a link i will also not pay in a shady weird way but im not adding 100 bux to ur asking lol wtf

most likely the check will bounce.. since its bank you may get in trouble..
also its the same thing as craigslist-)
always adding more money, and they want you to ship it before you recieve payment..

haha in these days you know its a scam when they want to send you a check.
haha if anyone was serious they would want to meet up and see the car... and use jargon like

That's just as bad as the emails people get fucked over on. "I'm in abudahbi. Please send me 500 over western union and I'll send you 100000's of dollars blah blah blah".
Tell the guy to expletive off, don't take down the add, and sell that car to someone who will pay for it
