Smoking POS!

Smoking POS!
So I have a '97 Integra (or, my fiance does). He works at a Honda dealership (not where he bought the car) and the mechanic "fixed it" for $1,200. I guess he replaced the head gasket and Honda sealed it?
Anyway, it is *still* smoking and overheating.
So now fiance thinks it's a combination of the A/C fan not working, oil pump is leaking and the thermostat?
For $1,200 you'd think the Honda mechanic could have had it all fixed!
Anybody else have any other suggestions about what it could be? It's an automatic (if that matters, makes it more of a POS to me).. engine runs strong (been in an accident though, not sure what it was but the car has a salvaged title).
Everything on the car is stock.
I'm out of ideas and ready to light the damn thing on fire. Paying $300-400 a month on that bullcrap.. for THAT we could have a brand new freaken' car!

Re: Smoking POS!
$1200 for a HG, that was the first mistake, having a "Honda" mechanic "fix it".
You need to find a mechanic that will diagnose the problem and then fix what needs fixing.
Did the Honda mechanic do a compression and leak-down test to determin if the problem was the HG, does not sound like it, if your still having problems, or as mentioned take it back and have them fix it properly. 94

Not to be harsh but it sounds like you want a fiance that knows their way around a car and this one obviously doesn't. Solution- don't get married and put yourself back on the market?
As far as the car goes, your fiance was ripped the hell off. I've never heard a price anywhere near that high for a head gasket!
