Should i really be able to beat gsr's?
ok well i have a 96 RS teg with only I/H/E and last night i raced a friend of mone with a 95 gsr with I/H/E also. From a dead stop he only beats me by 1/4 a car up to 85mps (thats where we let off). but from a rolling start i can kill him but more then a full car every time? is this just because of his driving or shoudl i really be able to beat gsr's?

There's too many variables that can come into play that determines a winner from a race between those two cars: mods, cond of car, driver skills, tires, reaction times, etc...
Take em to the drags and run em there..

I would say that the gsr should we with that bit of extra hp, but it all depends on the driver and so many other variables as said before. In other words, that question is almost impossible to answer correctly

I think if you would have kept going he would have pulled away. But honestly it sounds like he isnt a very good driver, becuase he should have a substantial power advantage. But who knows--like everyone else says, the variables are almost infinite.

That would be the logical thing to think. Just go straight and shift when you need to, but too bad things aren't that easy. I raced a kid 3 times in a row that has an integra with a worked b16. We did a quarter mile from a stop, I beat him everytime, and I even missed 2nd gear the first time we went and I still beat him. Oh and I have an ls with just intake and exhaust.
