Re: Should I Buy an Integra with over 100K (swank-racer)
Mine has 101k miles on it and still runs like new. I bought it two and a half years ago with 36k miles on it. It can be an extremely reliable and long lasting car, if you take care of it. Mine has seen mostly hard driving and a lot of racing, but the scheduled preventative maintenace is all it needed to stay in great shape. The only thing that I really ever needed to replace is the power antenna shaft (the plastic "string" broke a few months ago), but $30 on eBay and it's as good as new. I also replaced the clutch master cylinder and brake light switch because I thought they were bad, but it turned out to just be a freak problem and they didn't really need to be replaced.
The 3rd gen Integra is notorious for squeeks and abnormally slow power windows, but those are really just minor annoyances and not real problems. I'll gladly take them over the problems that most cars face at 100k miles. Some people say that our radiators tend to go bad some time after 100k miles, but so far mine is still in great shape.
If you get an Integra, invest in anti-theft mods immediately. My top recommendations are a fuel kill switch, rerouted hood cable, disabled power unlock buttons (cut the unlock wire at the switch), and an alarm. You can do the first three in about 2 hours for less than $10. Also, check out http://www.Team-Integra.net

Check the car throughly before even considering buying it. Make sure everything has been well taken care of.

Re: Should I Buy an Integra with over 100K (swank-racer)
In my opinion, it depends on what your going to do with it? If your looking into a motor swap, mileage wouldn't matter...obvioulsy. For example, i bought my '91 ls with 158,000 miles on it for $600. The motor is strong, has a few problems, but i'm dropping in a GSR motor, so in my opinion, i got a great deal.

is that for a gsr or an ls/rs, if its a gsr id say around 5.5/6k would be reasonsable, if its an ls/rs id look more.

Look at the current owner. Are they responsible, has the car been well taken care of.
Is this the first, second or third owner...
an integra having over 100k is quite common these days. Finding a gem should be half the fun. Being a proud owner after finding it is the other half.
good luck with whatever you decide.

BUY IT! BUT, with that many miles, you should be able to talk the price down at least $1000, maybe more! Even though these cars could go well over 200,000 miles, 100,000 is still a good amount of wear and tear. Make sure you find out if anything major has been replaced on it (timing belt, brakes, power steering, ect.) I bought my 94 RS for $5000 with 74,000 miles and it was in emaculate shape.

Re: Should I Buy an Integra with over 100K (RAF LTD. 2)
Rule of thumb for used cars...
Make sure the engine and transmission are in good shape... then check for frame damage. All else is repairable. These details should be factored into the negotiable price with the seller.

the most important thing.. is to check for any large patches of rust..... main underneath the car... you wouldnt want the rust to erode your purchase in less than a month...

i bought my 95 teg gsr for $5,000 with 159,000 miles on it. the owners of the car was an older couple. the car was bone stock and probably never put into vtec. these cars will run forever just take care of it. have some faith in the tegs ...he he

I have about about 100,000 miles plus on my 94 Integra LS... Runs great... has NEVER broken down on me .. sis bought it new back in the days.. it never broke down on her.. handed the car down to me.. and I drive it hard.. and it has never broken down or caused any other problems...8+ years of ownership and no problems, just a testament to the reliability of honda engines
I think you may be able to get a Integra at that many miles for a little lower than what there offering to sell it to you for..

Re: (MikeyDB7)
Do a search and ask around. Many teg owners here have well over 150k miles and driven hard. I wouldn't worry about the mileage too much assuming it's maintained.

Re: (nightryder21)
2 years ago, i bought a 95 gs-r for around 6 large with 100k on it. To this day, it hasn't given me any trouble and can keep up with my buddies 00 gs-r. I have no regrets.
