Setting the ignition timing
i have a 95 gsr integra and i did the timing last night on it and aligned all the marks( on the cams and on the crank), and i had the dizzy set right in the middle(not advanced or retarted), but when i put the timing gun on it the mark was soo far above the middle timing mark on the crank. i have done the timing several times and it never gets close to being at 16 degrees BTDC. no matter how advanced i put the dizzy. ive done the timing on a few b16s and they ran strong with the timing marks all aligned, but the gsr has been giving me troubles and i cant figure out how to get it running good. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Re: Setting the ignition timing (killacam661)
My timing marks on the timing belt cover never matched up with what my ecu was saying. According to my ecu I was at 14 BTDC but the gun said 16 BTDC. The timing mark groove on the timing belt cover is usually a bit off.
