so as you know i really want to get the JDM front end. yet i was looking around and i saw some threads on how to install it WITHOUT welding. I know this will save me a lot but i want to know what the negatives are?
Will the body be less rigid leaving it susceptible to being twisted?

Re: (sh4mr0ck)
It's awesome that you are rebuilding it.
I wish I could've done that with my GSR but the [freak]ers left it on the ground (no steelies) so the frame had damage and then the towing company had to drag it onto the flatbad
Keep us updated with plenty pics

thanks for the input. what i was thinking was to just have it bolted on first then when i get more cash i'll weld it on.

can you let me know what you used? and if possible, some pics on where you welded it?

so the other day i installed the carpet i found for the car. it wasn't a good fit towards the rear so i had to go to an upholstery shop and look buy a piece of carpet in order for it to fit over a reinforcement bar of some sort in the car. here's a pic of what the work looks like.
with some really bright lighting you could see the two shades of the color. Am i happy with what it looks like? no, but i didn't want to go around looking for a carpet in this good of condition. it came out of a 95 and is pretty much spotless and in perfect shape, well now not so much because i had to cut it. Hopefully it won't be extremely noticeable when i install the front seats.
Here is a different view of the carpet. Sorry about all the other crap on top of it.
And the install of the rear seats.
