Power antenna doesn't retract...
Today I walked up to my car afterwork and thought something looked a little odd. Then, I finally realized it was because the antenna was still up, even tho the car + radio were off. So it appears my power antenna is busted.
I tried to collapse it by hand, but the thing won't budge, even with the radio off. Normally not a big deal, but I'm temporarily living in this apartment, and the car wash is the only way to clean my car... that 4' antenna would get busted off for sure.
Is there any trick to getting this darn thing to collapse by hand? Otherwise, any idea how much a new antenna costs from the dealer?
I'm thinking about just going with an S2k antenna. Are there any writeups on the install, or is it plug-n-play?
EDIT: Before anyone suggests it, there isn't a loose electrical connection or anything on the antenna... I can hear it trying to raise/lower the antenna.

The mast probably broke they do this all the time seeing there only plastic. If you check http://www.team-integra.net there are several DIY. Also try searching H-T there a lots of s2k install nfo and people selling everything u need to convert. I know the acura dealership will try to get u for 175 for a new one so the 35 dollar diy s2k kits are probably the route you wanna go. Also if u want to replace OEM antenna and can find one cheap theres not that much to it.

sounds like your antenna mast reel broke off inside. take off the chrome nut then turn the radio on. while the motor is running just gently pull the mast out. if part of the mast reel is stuck inside, you will have to take the motor out.
s2k mod... there's another method that angles the antenna back better. you might want to try team-integra.net for it

Just an FYI to everyone:
If you're antenna is broke, and the motor still works, you can buy just the mast from the dealer... no need to buy the whole assembly. Saves a lot of $$$ and time trying to replace the motor. Works like charm now, tho its a little noisier going up/down.
There's a little collar inside the mast, that for whatever reason seized up, causing the plastic reel to break. That's why I couldn't push the antenna back down. The dealer reccomended keeping the mast lubricated with silicone spray.

The mast is cheaper on eBay. They're about $25.
