Re: oil filter not fitting 95 gsr
what don't you mean it won't fit? wrong thread, size of inlet, or the actual filter is just way too damn big and will cause oil to pour out?

Re: please help!!!! oil filter not fitting 95 gsr
Anyways, most Honda's from 1988-on use #3593 Fram filters, not sure what other brands' part numbers are. Honda s2000's are the only other 88-up Honda I know of that runs a different oil filter than Fram #3593. There may be other Honda's out there that use a different filter, but from Civic's to Prelude's to Integra's, all I've seen them use are the #3593 Fram filter. If I had to guess, either the Filter you bought had the wrong filter in the correct box (most stores open the box at checkout to make sure the right filter is in the right box) *or* the was somehow damaged (perhaps it got knocked off the store's shelf or dropped) *or* had a defect from the manufacturer (Sleepy QA (Quality Assurance) worker at the factory).

They only have 2 kinds of filters at dealer. Small ones for tegs and civics. Larger ones for s2k and some accords and etc..... I used to by them by the case wit my friends shop account.

Stock Oil Pan?? The oil filter doesn't attach to nor is it affected by what oil pan you are running.

Re: please help!!!! oil filter not fitting 95 gsr
are u sure that it was straight on? like you lined it up right? there should be nothing there in the way. even if the oem honda filer (blue in color) is smaller, you can fit a s2k filter, which is a lot bigger then the fram, on your gsr. if you can, take a pic.

Re: please help!!!! oil filter not fitting 95 gsr
i'm pretty sure it was going on straight. i sat there and tried and tried and this isn't exactly my first oil change. there was something it was hitting there i'm just not sure what it was i was pretty limited on space. i was just pulled up on the curb and thats still pretty low for a teg for i didn't have much room but i'm sure it was going on straight cuz the old one slide right on again
