Default P72 Dinan Chip?

I have a p72 ecu that has a Dinan chip. The original owner chipped it right after he bought the gsr in 95, the chip is dated 1993. I found out that it is a SGS/Thompson, M27256-2FI chip. What I wanna know is if it has a zif or dip socket. IT looks to me that the 28 pins are soldered to the bored so I want to say its a dip. I have an lsvtec motor that I want to run but I would like to remove the Dinan chip properly and re chip the p72.
Sum pics.

The ecu appears to be properly socketed/chipped from the top of the ecu.
It looks to me like j1 on the ecu is not jumpered so the ecu is not running off the 28 pin rom but instead the factory program on the ecu.

Thanks for the info. So all I have to do is jump J1 then pop out the old chip and insert a new one, correct?

Correct, this is assuming the soldering is good etc..

THe chip poped out easily, now I just need to jump J1. Ive read that most people use the lead from a resistor. Any other suggestions. I think im going to send it out to have J1 jumped and a chip installed. I dont have a fine tip solder and I dont have a lot of time.
