Omnipower street coilovers...
I'VE SEARCHED and found nothing, so... right now i have skunk 2 coilovers/tokico illumina adj. shocks on a dc2 teg. i dd with it dumped all the way down. i drive all over the place and don't have all that much trouble, except for my dc 4-1 header is almost pinched....yes you guessed it....ground clearance. i'm looking to buy the omni street coilovers to replace them. i rode in my dudes car with them and i liked them and besides they're priced good! my question was, how low do they go? i've seen a couple of civics and what not slammed on them and it wasn't slammed at all. my skunk2 coilovers tuck any rims i've had on my car in the front but not in the back because the bottom of the shock body has a stop on it. the omnis don't so thats why the back will be lower. anyone running these slammed? pics would be nice. also searched and didn't find any. thanks

Why not just lower your car to a nice ride height? Slamming your car especially without a camber kit is absolutely rubbish and stupid. Not to mention you have the clearence issues you have mentioned. Good luck "tucking" your wheels

ive got the groung control/eibach coilovers and they ride smooth for coilovers yet they make the car handle great... just another thought for a great product that is fairly cheap!

Re: Omnipower street coilovers... (96teggylsse)
what car is this for? i've heard of da owners using dc app omni's to get a little lower. i myself are running da app omni's for my da and they didnt get me as low as i wanted up front. by ordering a shorter same springrate spring up front i found a way around it but it kinda kills the purpose of a full coilover. (no front preload)
i might look into koni w/sleeve over and ground control tophats. a lot of poeple have had success with that setup

If you plan on going really low you need to get a higher spring rate for the front. The biggest problem lies in the amount of travel, the lower you go the less you have. Once you shorten the shock as much as possible with the lower collar the only other option is lowering the spring which reduces travel on an already short stroke shock. If you plan on loweriing the spring perch we reccomend a high spring rate at (12k+) this will reduce chances of bottoming out the shock.

I had 13k front and 12k rear on my Ksports, wonderfull coilovers. Never bottomed out or rubbed in highspeed turns, even with 215's on 17" rims

I dont have the streets, but I have the sports . Rides awesome , some say its a little stiff but I love it, car feels solid. Oh, and the 2 year warranty compared to the ksports.... just a thought ,

Put my omni's in about a month ago (full sport coilovers, 10k/12k spring rates) and I love em! I'd definitely recommend them.
