Do not go past the "0" freeplay range or you will wear the clutch very quickly. After the 0 point, there's a chance of the hydraulics always pushing on the clutch.

I believe Nachi makes the replacement exedy bearing also, come to think of it (I said NTK before). Probably a different manufacturer PN than the original Honda bearing.

Try bernardiparts.com if you want a discounted rate on a Honda labeled bearing. Though....their shipping rates are out of control, so you may end up saving nothing.

I wouldn't over think this if the car is just going to see regular street use. I've used the bearing that came with the kit for years and years without issue. I've only had one bearing from an Exedy kit start to make noise. It was on a K series...and the "tech" that installed it used anti sieze to lube the sliding surface. The pedal was very hard to move, and the clutch engaged slower and slower as the anti sieze turned into cement. So...that likely contributed to it. I had to re-open it all up, replace the bearing, sand down the scored up bearing guide sleeve, and use HT Urea grease to fix it.
The hydraulic system is perfect(exedy replacements) and the cmc adjustments are dead on. My issue only occurs inching up in traffic in 1st gear where i have to clutch in and out a lot. Do you know if removing the A-pipe is necessary when doing a clutch job?

Nachi part# is NP-55SCRN41P-6 and costs about $40 shipped on amazon, ebay and google. They also call it "OEM Part# 22810-P21-0030" which has an extra zero at the end for some reason.
I didnt know the gsr used a different model. i found this on ebay. Im going to buy this TOB if the exedy one is not a good brand. your help has been much appreciated. There are so many ways of savings out there without sacrificing quality...!

That part# 22810-PPT-003 is different and for the CL, TL RSX and TSX. Are you 100% sure it's interchangeable? I'm not sure i would risk using that one to save $14.

Look carefully at your link again. In the main body it clearly states the part# is 22810-PPT-003. Not the correct part number even though the auction says it's for Integras. Ebay can be tricky like that.

The BRG817 throwout bearing will work on an Integra manual transmission. That ebay listing has misleading information so I would ask the seller to tell you exactly what part you will be getting. BRG817 is a Koyo part number, but the seller is listing it as a Nachi brand part. I believe that seller listed the OEM part interchange number 22810-PPT-003 because that specific listing was directed towards CL/Accord owners. But BRG817 will fit the OPs Integra.

Yes, the pipe between the manifold and cat needs to be removed.

Take a look at the ITR flywheel. I *think* its 14LB. Not sure which one is less expensive; ACT or ITR.

If you have an OEM manifold and a-pipe, it'll probably be easier to just drop the whole manifold unless the bolts on the a-pipe are still easy to remove.

New ITR flywheel is about $275. ACT streetlite around $180... But I think he's pretty set on the ACT flywheel.

Weird. I've gotten them with Nachi bearings as far as I can remember. I used to buy them from ebay seller gripforce. They advertised that the bearing included in their exedy kit was Nachi. I believe them because I remember seeing "Nachi, Japan" written on the bearing.

Maybe it was a special package that they put together for their store.

I haven't looked closely enough at the kits from rockauto, I guess. Maybe they come with the chinese bearing?

The NACHI brand bearing comes in their Stage 1 clutch kit. The OEM replacement kit comes with a generic bagged TOB (probably the brand OP suggested.
