Need help with fuel problem
Car was running today when all of sudden the car stalls and I could not get the car started again.
Started to trouble shoot, checked for Spark and confirmed no problem, to be certain I swapped distributors, spark plugs and still same problem.
Thought it could be ECU and swapped that as well and same problem, can crank but no start.
Checked for priming sound from fuel pump and can verify the pump is priming. Ran separate power to see if pump was functioning and could hear the pump running.
Next checked the fuel gauge on the fuel filter and shows that there is fuel pressure around 45psi when the ignition is on.
Pulled plugs and after so many cranks, there is no fuel on the spark plugs, this leads me to believe that the injectors are not firing. The injectors are RC 310's and have been working for the past 2 years.
Can anyone help figure this out. Motor is a B18C5 with chipped ecu and VAFC but has been running fine for 3 years until today.
Thanks,
AW

disconnect V-AFC, reconnect MAP wires...try to restart.
Those are known to screw up. That would certainly tell you if it was the AFC that is your problem.

Re: Need help with fuel problem (CNSK)
I think the VAFC is probably fine as I checked the connections. I think it might be the snapped timing belt as I think the ECU does not allow fuel if it senses that the motor is not turning. I will have the cam cover off this weekend to check. Timing belt has been on for about 60K miles and I believe they are rated for longer than that. If it is the belt I am hoping I did not bend any valves...

Re: Need help with fuel problem (AW)
Just took valve cover off and top timingbelt cover. Belt looked fine. Then tried to turn the motor with the power steering pulley trick. Bottom end was moving but the top was not. Without removing the rest of the covers most likely the timing belt is snapped below, tensioner is broken or the water pump is seized...

if i were u i would immediatly stop tryin to start ur car. urr valves are probably trash right now along with ur pistons. tow it to a shop and have an experienced person look at it.
