My wheels stick out???
don't know if this is the correct thread forum to post, but any help would be appreciated!
I bought some Sportmax rims from a private seller. The seller didn't tell me the rear rims were different offsets. When I put in on my integra, the wheels in the back stick out at least 1 inch and the front don't. So they must be negative offsets right??? And is there any way a shop or I, can measure the offsets???
Thanks!
I will post pictures of my wheels soon.
also looking for 16' Rota C10's...bronze or gold

The offset is often stamped on the back of the wheel.
They are not necessarily negative offsets; they may simply be less positive.
Offset is difficult to measure, because you have to measure the width of the wheel at the bead (where the inside edge of the tire sits), not at the outer edge of the lip, and then measure the distance to the mounting surface. See the picture below.
In general, Sportmax rims aren't a good choice for Integras because they are too wide for the tire sizes used on Integras.

Re: My wheels stick out???
ok..i took off both my front and rear wheels....I tried loking for the offset stamp on the back of my wheels..and could not find anything...all it had was 16X7 on the front wheels and 16X8 on the rear...Could it be that my wheels stick out because my rear is 16X8????

2) 16x8 will fit, without sticking out, depending on the offset. However, it is not the best size for the car since it really limits tire selection. It looks like the offset of these is really not appropriate for the car.
You can always just add a ton of negative camber to tuck the tires (not that I would recommend it, but other people have done so to fit lower offset wheels)...

If you want to get 17" rims for an Integra - I wouldn't, because the short sidewall makes them susceptible to damage from potholds, but if you don't care about that - get 17x7 rims, with 205/40-17 tires.

1) Why on earth would you use the wider wheel on the rear of a FWD car?

I'm replacing the rear wheels to match the front....just found the same wheels on discounttire.com...the size is 16X7 with +25 offset...I shouldn't have a problem with that size, right????

Still a rather low offset for the car. They might still stick out some (haven't bothered to try fitting anything that low of an offset myself).

Re: My wheels stick out???
I don't think you can blame that on the seller man....you are supposed to look at what you are buying. You can tell very easily that the rims are not the same width. Don't blame your ignorance on the seller. It is quite apparent you didn't do any research before you bought them.
