Default UPDATE PAGE 3! My new Teg project, Pics inside!!!!

Well everyone a little back ground. I have been wanting a 94+ integra for as long as I can remember. Everytime I find one, and am close to getting the money for it, well, it just falls through. So right now I have a 91 crx hf with a b16 in it, just did the swap 3 weeks ago. Which leads me to here basically, the swap was a waste of money lol. Here is my new project.

Its a 94 integra ls automatic. Yeah it looks rough, and its auto, the engine is blown, the tranny is blown....but its my new baby. I have huge plans for this car that I have been planning for years now. And without further adue....

Any comments/suggests are very welcome. I plan on keeping a HUGE photo journal since this is the roughest car I ever bought. Ahh well tow truck is bringing it tomorrow and the cleaning process begins woo hoo.

Ryan

Well? What are your plans for her? You didnt mention what you want to do? All I can say is good luck Why was the b16 swap in the rex a waste of money? BTW, how much for the teg?

The car does come with everything the rest of the car is sitting in the guys garage. It should be getting towed here tomorrow so I can begin the cleaning/stripping process. Well a few plans.. I don't want to let everything out so you can all think I am just one of those guys that says he is going to do something but never does...

Championship White paint, with some pearl mixed in.
Black leather interior
Get it running so I can drive it to PA to begin work on my auto to manual swap thats all the info I am gonna give for now.

The b16 was a waste because I could have put that money towards this car and got it running. Then I could have sold the rex, and got the cars body straight and painted!

Oh and the price tag of this project so far $300 including towing

hmm, $300 for that not bad. So you just were not satisfied wtih the performance of the b16 rex? I always thought that they are a lot of fun. So you think compared to your current undertaking the b16 swap was a waste of those funds? Cool man, good luck on your project, Champ white is a beautiful color.

Thanks guys, words of encouragement are always great. After I clean it, and get an interior it will start to look normal, then it will get a stock ls engine and auto tranny for now, to get it where I need to, for the auto to manual conversion. Then comes the paint. Once its in running condition I can sell my rex and get down to business.

There is nothing wrong with the performance of my rex at all. I really do love it. I have always had this passion for an integra, and I have owned about 10 cars total in the last 5 years. I have never been satisfied, and always complain about my cars. Now I can finally build what I always wanted. The rex is really quick, but the integra is the car I wanted to build, the rex was just to hold me over until I could afford one. The beautiful part about this is, its basically a shell, so I can build it however I want without worrying, especially while I still have my rex. Me and my roomate built a track car that he daily drove, it came in pieces, didn't have any wires or hoses in it. He daily drove it while we were done, and it ran 11.6 in the 1000' which is pretty respectable. Then he grew tired of driving the car around daily, and parted it out. Anyways we love projects and this will be my favorite of all time....hopefully I have really high hopes. well here is the link to my roomates old car we built.

Well Ive got a 98+ bumper sittin in my garage that you may be interested it. It is currently painted white. If you have any interest PM me with an offer and Ill check into what would have to be done to ship it. From what I hear Airborne Express ships big stuff for reasonable prices.

So how much do you think you will save when you put all the money into it, as opposed to buying a running car? Or are you doing this for the sentimental aspect of you own project? Anywho, best of luck

Thanks for the offer but I already have bumpers for the car

As far as saving money, probably be about the same price, I can get it running and what not for a decent price. Getting it back to stock condition driving wise, will bring my total up to about 1300. As an auto. Then I can paint it for about 1500. I have an interior for it, not what I want but as far as getting it into stock condition... about 3000 total. Labor all done by me. Auto to manual conversion, my friends at my roomates dads shop and I will do the labor, so total, about $1000 in parts. So brings the project up to about $4000. So to recap thats a 94 5spd championship white Integra with maybe 60,000 miles for $4000, I think I am saving a few hundred and I have a brand new paint job, newer engine, and the HUGE sentimental value. That is the main reason I am doing this, I want a car that I put together the way I wanted it. Those prices are just a rough estimate, but being able to do your own labor saves alot of money, along with having good connections. Thats not exactly the order or exactly what I am going to do to it, just trying to give you guys an idea of weather or not I am saving or not.

Default HEY!!!!

It just so happens that I just purchased a 95 Acura Integra GSR Manual Tranny Vehicle. I am parting it out as it has been totaled because it was SLAMMED from the Pass Side. It runs as I drove it 15 miles to my house where I am Dis-assembling it (PARTING OUT!!!!!!) It has great body panels except Pass side, Carbon Fiber Hood, Z3 fenders painted Black, front nose piece Black needs paint but excellent shape; PLUS MUCH MORE!!!!If you need a complete auto to manual swap, I think this is your Huckelberry!!

Also Complete Lowering and suspension braces can be had, Type R. This car was the Chit, I hated to see it wrecked as it was one of the BEST looking GSR Tegs out there. I can send Pics!!!

i went through the same thing, only with my 92 Si.. It was the one car out of several i wanted, but could never find one, when i did i diddnt have the money, etc.
My project wasnt as far gone as yours, but ive put a lot of time into it (bought wrecked w/200,000 for 500 bucks, missing a bunch of parts, did an engine swap, etc), and in the end, i have to say it was worth it. I could have bought one complete for an extra couple of hundred, but that would have required a saving and the right timing, or a loan and interest. Doing it the way i did it yeilded the car in my posession, being excited whenever i had a few extra bucks to buy something no matter how trivial it was, and best of all, no car or credit card payments.
good luck man, and have fun

bro, I am going through the same situation right now. I bought a automatic
94 ls integra for $500. I have already bought a gsr tranny and most of the
parts to change over the tranny to 5 speed. I see that you are from Conway,
I'm from Pine Bluff.
