Default lowering/rotor issue

hmm i have come to a conclusion that my brake squeeling has something to do w/ lowering my car "too much"

- my old set up i was tucking on 195/50/15 rims and my right side rotor would constantly have some scrapeing/squeeling sounds... it was unbearable
- i thought it was my pads... i took them out wow they had an assload of meat left. But w/e i changed new pads and it still squeeled on the right front...
- what do you know i raised it one day for the shop to drive around so they dont scrape my **** when doing some massive maintenances and the scrapeing / squeeling is gone
- now i have new wheels 205/45/16 and i'm back to tucking again. what do you know... the rotor scratching/scrapeing/ sound is back... i don't hear the "squeeling YET" so far these scratching/scrape sounds happen mostly on just bumps

any idea what this is? or how to fix it? i don't really want to raise my car...
cliffs- tucking = rotor scrapeing?????

thanks a fixed help would be greatly appreciated

Your brake squealing could be caused from a sticking caliper or cheap pads..Are the pads wearing even?

well yes, and this is only happening everytime i lower past a certain "extent".

i doubt "AEM" pads are "cheap" pads

also my old pads had hella meat left and i just tossed them and put these aem ones on because i am confused as ***** to why this is happening.

but now yes, i know that this rubbing/scratching/whooshing sound is happening because i dropped the car past a certain extent. and the old pads were squeeling when i was tucking 1/4 tire or tucking in general... i did a random 3 finger gap and it went away

now i'm on new wheels and i'm tucking again and i'm hearing the swooshing slightly, and even more so on bumps

Maybe you bent your rotor dust shields.

bent dust shields make scratching sounds when the car is lowered too "far"?

That's all I could think of, too. But lowering the car wouldn't do that alone. Maybe one got messed up during the lowering process?

I have heard of and even seen pics of an LCA rubbing up against a brake rotor (dust shield removed), but honestly I don't know how that happens. My LCA's are always at least 1/2" to 3/4" away from my dust shields, which are then separated from the brake rotors.

Even throughout the full range of suspension motion from full droop to full compression (UCA hitting shock tower with no suspension installed) my LCA doesn't even come near my brake rotor dust shield.

check your dust sheild, make sure it's not hiting or touching anything. and are you sure you put enough of that brake quiet grease on your calipers?

are you sure its the rotor/backing plate/brakes cause the rotor and backing plate are stationary, they do not move on their own, only with the travel of suspension, and it only happens on bumps, check your fender wells and make sure its not the tire scraping on the fender and or plastic, i have a da slammed appprox 2-1/2 in. and have no problems over bumps...........hope this is of some help

i have the same problem! altho i FIXED IT!!!! fuuuucking a this was unbelievable annoyance....

behind my rotor some black plate was actually CRACKED and split in a couple places at the corner, and THAT corner was scratching against my rotor, left a good freaking scratch on my rotor ugh....

I WILL POST UP PICTURES!!!!! ASAP !!! after i shower

i havnt tested it yet so yea just bent it back and readjusted my susp... i'll find out tomorrow im feeling tired and lazy

edit: what are the purpose of these plates/shields???? what will happen if you have taken out a few chunks and pieces of broken parts off??? can my rotors still be used w/ scratch lines??? why did lowering the car cause these things to rub the rotor??

as said again PICS WILL BE UP ASAP I NED TO EAT DINNER

Could it possibly be that your lowered too much and your Drive shaft is wearing your Hub bearings? The drive shaft could be sitting in a akward angle and can be putting uneven pressure on the bearing. To the Post above^ Since he said that the car was fine when he raised it, that shouldnt be a problem because the shield is a stationary item that doesnt have movement on the back of the Rotor.

Like I said before, dust brake shield.

I would break that piece off, and you'll be okay with that rotor.
I've seen lots of rotors with strange warping before, and their was no problem.
I'd recommend you changing them when you get new brake pads though.
