Looking for daily driven teg's w/ shaved door handles....
Hey my teg is going into the body shop pretty soon and I was looking for some more info. If the solonoid dies, how do I get in? What lb. popper do I need? Umm, have you had any problems? Thats all I can think of right now. TIA!!

you would wanna get at least 35lb solonoids, the bigger the better though...if your battery dies then climb through the trunk...if you shave the trunk then you can hide a wire somewhere attached to the door or trunk cable that you can grap to open the door/trunk from outside...hope that makes sense

My friends got a teg w/shaved handles and such, maybe if I get a chance I'll ask him for you. Until then I guess I'm of no help

you can have an emergency pull wire (make sure you hide this well/conceal it behind a panel or something..not easy to figure out for a thief)... anyway you can use this in case your battery or the propper solenoid dies.... otherwise you can use your key to open the hatch and crawl in there to open the door/get into your car...

If the solenoid fails, you go in through the trunk. But.... The solenoid can still work and the door sometimes WILL NOT work. This is because the heat expands the door sealant and the door will stick. You can generally stick your finger in the seal and pry it open though. But most of the time it works.

i had shaved door handles on my old 94 inetgra . the guy at the body shop said he would do it for free so i was like sure why not ,also shaved the trunk keyhole at the same time . the next 2 years were nothing but a headache . solenoid goes bad , door sticks and wont open , park on a hill where the passenger side is lower than the drivers side so the solenoid doesnt have enough power to pop open the door . it looks clean when you shave the door handles but i dont think its worth it . also you do look pretty stupid climbing in through the trunk of your car .
up to you , good luck
