Little black tank under the battery rack?
What's the name and the fonction of that part... There's 3 hoses that connect to that tank... one going under the car connected from under the tank ,one is "amber clear" from the fuel filter on top, and another one on top that is not connected (on my car!?) made of black rubber?
Can someone explain? I'm curious? Especially because the black hose on top is not connected. And that thing is quite heavy for it size!

It's the charcoal canister, it captures fuel vapors from your fuel tank and sends them into the throttle body/intake manifold.
However there should be 2 hoses on top, I think. One hose should connect to a hard line on the firewall. That's the fuel vapor line from the fuel tank. The other one should connect to the evap purge solenoid valve near the throttle body.
In this pic below, the hose where you see EVAP (near that round black cap) is one hose coming off the top of my charcoal canister. The other hose off the top of the canister connects to the hard line just to left of the TPS label. Now my car is OBD1, not sure if they changed all that for OBD2 cars.

Your right there're 2 hoses...Mine is a gsr 96 obd 2 that has been modified to obd1 to accomodated a hondata s200. So should I be concern about the fact that the hose that should go back to evap purge solenoid valve is not connect? Maybe it's because I have a Skunk2 IM?
Does tank need to be change sometimes? Is there any issue that could come from that part?

Nope, it has absolutely nothing to do with Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The charcoal canister is strictly for fuel vapors.
hmm that's odd, I would think there would still be provisions for the Evap purge solenoid. I can't remember if it attaches to the IM or the TB.
If the canister is bad, it will throw a code on your CEL. So if you don't get a code specific to the charcoal canister, don't worry about it. My car is nearing 15 years old and I've never changed mine. New ones are DAMN expensive too, over $150 I think.

Re: Little black tank under the battery rack?
Hold up... my charcoal canister actually has THREE hoses on top. One from the fuel tank, one to the purge solenoid, and a third one to the throttle body (the tube w/ the hose clamp just to the left of the MAP sensor plug above).
The Evap purge solenoid also has another hose going to the intake manifold, also in the pic above.
Can you take any pics of your setup? What throttle body are you running? I'm thinking the OBD2 charcoal canister setup is different than OBD1.

I was correct. Skunk2's installation instructions addresses EVAP connection on OBD1 and on OBD2 vehicles.
