From the T-I article they should be 168 or 194 (same size, but one is brighter than the other).

is it really a 194? the same wedge bulb that goes in the front corner? because i think i took a look and the factory one is a bit bigger in size........but the 194 wedge will fit in there. i just don't know if it'll be brighter or not than the factory one.

Re: License Plate Light Bulb
so i tired to change my bulb .. but on pulling out the light i realized there was no bulb in it and no connections ..
so im jus wondering now .. after i buy a bulb how do i go about getting the light to work .. i see some wires inside the trunk on the left hand side panel .. is it that i am goin to have to pull off the back bumber and run a connection from that wire im seeing to the licence plate light ..
sounds like alot

Re: License Plate Light Bulb
The wire goes up through the back plastic panel in the trunk. Remove that panel and you will see a connection plug there.
I wired LED's to that source and fed the line through the same holes the wires are running through. Mounted the LEDS in the brackets.

Good luck removing anything to do with the licence plate bulbs, bulb lens or bracket.
Spray with a release agent, [MoveIt] before attempting to remove any phillips screw, they will be rusted and you will strip the heads if not real careful.
It is a 168 bulb. [12V 8W]. 94
