Leaving cruise control gives you more mile per gallon or no?
Driving using control cruise gives you more miles per gallon or do you get more miles per gallon steping on the pedal?

you'll get consistent miles in terms of your gpa... especially on long distance drives... but setting the cruise control is the same as keeping your foot on the pedal, it still opens up the throttle to move the car, its just kept in place with cruise control.

Jeremy Clarkson, in an episode of Top Gear, was doing a fuel consumption test in an audi.
With the cruise control on he managed 32-33mpg and with the cruise control off he managed 40mpg.
That's good enough for me. It's about speed matching other cars around, anticipation of hills, etc. Never brake.
