Default JDM front end

I was wondering for all of you that have done this, did you repaint your whole car? Or did you just paint the front end the same? If you did the whole car, how much did everything cost? Including the front end, paint, labor, and anything else. Thanks.

you dont need to paint the whole car

$1200-$1500(install+paint) depending on the condition of your jdm parts

So, no matter what color my car is, they can paint it to match exactly?

It totally depends on the shop ... but always remember ... you get what you pay for.

You may just paint the pieces of the JDM front end, with respect to the rest of your car's paint status.

If you plan to paint the whole car along w/ the front end ... your looking at spending a hefty amount. My friend spent approximately 10 grand total in the end. As you can imagine, his car's end product was "amazing."

I recommend you visit some of your local paint and body shops to shop around for price quotes. Hope I've helped.

Ten grand just to paint it, and put the parts on? That is really expensive.

you can see pics of my jdm front end in my appearance/cosmetic forum post. I just painted the front end, and it looks excellent. Bodypros in southern california did it. they charged me 1300 for paint and install.

earl schieb's 199 special. ya baby j/k dude, i wouldn't ever do that to a teg. but, then i don't see any reason to repaint one if it's paint was taken care of.

Was the conversion hard? And what do you mean by prep it? Like primer and stuff?

Paint the whole car.. as much as they say its an exact paint match.. its not! you have to conside the age of the original paint on the rest of the car and how the elements affect the condition of the paint, even if it is babied. Repaint the whole car and it all matches and its all in the same condition. just my .02

i took my front end peices to a dealer honda/acura body repair shop and they painted it melano red and it matched my car exactly. it was a little expensive but i wanted a quality paint job so the front bumper doesnt flake after driving all the freeways.

it usually cost about 300 to 400 to install the front end. i painted my whole car over again just so it matches perfectly.

Because, I want it. But I'm now sure how it will hold up. Plus I'm not sure if I should make my car faster then do that, or do that then the engine. And I have a Green teg, and I have never seena JDM front on a Green one. So I don't know how it will look.
