Default jdm blackhousing headlights..........

I have a pair of type r headlights i want to convert to blackhousing. any of you fellow members know where in orange county, california I can get good quality work w/out getting ripped off? my main concern is the headlights being properly sealed after the work is done. I dont want them fogging up later on down the road. so if you know of any shops that do great work let me know.....

put it in the oven for an hour at (i think) 350 degrees then run a razor along the seal and it should get most of the sealant. use a fkat screw driver with a thin washclotch over the tip to pry it open. tape it off and paint. re seal with silicon ta da

This will most definitely melt the **** out of your headlight. You only need to leave it in there at around 225 for five minutes wrapped in foil. Then you should be able to pry it apart with a couple of flat blades. If you're wary about throwing your $800 headlights into the oven, go buy a cheap heat gun from Horror Freight (should be only about $15) and use it to separate the lens. It's pretty easy, but if I were you, I'd try to find a cheap Civic headlight and practice on it first before making an attempt on your nice stuff. But that's just me.
