Default itr tb on gsr manifold

I tried to install an itr tb on my stock gsr manifold and realized that the gsr throttle bracket (that bolt to the stock gsr tb) won't bolt on the itr tb (no place on it to bolt it). I have figured out that on an itr, the throttle bracket is bolted on the intake manifold. I've looked on the gsr intake manifold and there is no place to bolt an itr throttle bracket. With an itr throttle cable, were is it possible to put an itr bracket on a gsr intake manifold?

I pretty sure you can't mount the itr bracket to the gsr manifold. I tried using my gsr bracket for my skunk2 IM(itr rep) and it wasn't possible. The GSR is the odd ball of the b series family.

That's what i thought, but i saw some people talking about custom bracket that you could bolt under the stock gsr IM, anyone tried that?

Switch the GSR TB pulley with the ITR pulley. Should work just fine

what about the bracket? It won't bolt on the itr TB. Do you mean i don't need the bracket?

easiest way to do this is with a blox manifold. the itr tb is worthless on a stock gsr manifold, buy the blox itr manifold copy, put that on and your TB will be proper fitting

oh, and you'll need an itr throttle cable and p73 throttle stop

I used a Maxbore ported S2000 TB (virturally the same as a ITR TB) and I swapped the pulleys and drilled/tapped the S2000 TB for the GSR bracket (it's pretty easy to figure out once you look at it). It's easy to do.

You need to make sure that you port the stock intake manifold or the new TB will be a wate.

Are you sure it doesn't bolt up?

Changing the pulleys wouldn't help, because i can't bolt the gsr bracket to the itr (there is only one place where i could drill hole, but the gsr bracket is kept in place by two bolts)

That would be the easiest way indeed, but this thread is about keeping the gsr intake manifold, not buying an aftermarket one to solve the issue.

I guess you could tack weld the p73 bracket to the gsr mani and it would work.

Also you will need to port match the main to the tb otherwise the larger tb will be worthless.

Tack welding the p73 is a good idea, i'll look if i can find someone that does aluminium tig welding.

I found an alternative which would be to make a custom bracket and to bolt on to the gsr intake under a bolted sensor (http://hondamarketplace.com/attachme...1&d=1235592743). The picture is with the sensor removed, at the top of the manifold there are two place that can be bolted. This would be the easiest thing to do i think. Welding the bracket would be the second option. Anyone did that kind of bracket in the past?

fixed

you're devaluing parts and spending a lot of time and effort thinking about something that has a simple solution. the tb is not a restriction on a gsr manifold, plenum volume is.

Again, if i wanted to know how to port my gsr intake i would have make a thread about that. This thread is only about a custom way of using an itr tb on a gsr im with itr throttle cable and custom bracket.

Just get an itr tb and intake manifold. I would leave the butterfly manifold though
