ITR suspension really worth it?

Re: ITR suspension really worth it?
Also, those were two different comparisons. I'm asking for OPINIONS not if they would fit or not. I researched the topic but I couldn't find anything or I would get non-ITR owners saying that it would be better off with aftermarket suspension.
If you don't like this thread then don't look at it? You aren't being forced to look at it, bud. If it bothers you THAT MUCH then tell a moderator to move it to the right section, wherever that is.

I started with itr springs, shocks, lca on my 95 LS, shocks went bad switched to non type r koni yellow with stock LCA, on the konis I run the rears on the lower perch, I did'nt notice much difference, other than that of going from blown shocks to new ones, it a good dd set up I like it, but it feels super soft when compared to my EH3 with gc\koni 380/380....I believe the type r springs are 250 Linear in front, back is 250 progressive....but I could be wrong

Good thing I haven't asked you guys about my RS.
You guys are detached from reality. An ITR is nothing more than a regular Integra with options on it from the factory. No different than a Cobra is to a Mustang or a SS/WS6 is to a Camaro/Firebird. In the end it is cool, but still a plain ol Integra.
I do come here for the laughs though

You,can swap, every nut and bolt from an itr onto an ls, but at the end of the day it's still an ls.

I'm not trying to make my GS into an ITR. I like wanted ITR suspension because the car was built to take quick corners and high amount of stress from the track. The suspension is firm and comfortable since it is an OEM product.

Re: ITR suspension really worth it?
two options are koni yellows & some sort of spring combo (up to you) Ground control & eibach springs tend to be most popular, or Showa oem itr shocks with oem itr springs if you want an "OEM" like ride. They are going to be similar in feel but koni doesnt quite have the valving the oem itr's do. I would go OEM all day they can go for 70k miles pretty easily if treated properly (no tracking events).

Re: ITR suspension really worth it?
Which ones? OEM? Google search new oem acrua parts, places like acurapartsnow.com or acuraoemparts.com etc will have what you are looking for, then enter your car information(whatever year itr suspension you want probably '98-'01) and a parts catalog will appear, obviously front shock tower, then rear shock tower are the categories you will want. You can no longer buy the suspension in one piece so you'll need to order the shock absorbers, then the springs, then all bushings/and whatnot needed for the install(they show you pictures so it makes it pretty easy to see everything you need, I would write down a list first so you can check everything off your list otherwise it can get overwhelming at times), While you're doing this install it would be a great time saving thing to replace any bushings on swaybars, endlinks, control arms etc.... At least that's what I'm going to do. hahaha

2001 INtegra type r shocks
Acura Parts @ AcuraAutomotiveParts.org - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Acura Carland
at that price I would go with the konis

koni or bilsteins are typically recommended, there are a few threads on the koni yellows on here.
I can't complain about using bilstein sports with my springs, it performs well for autocross for me.

Well 3/4 done with installing mine. Everything has gone smooth, down to the last shock and control arm and it starts raining too hard to complete. Un-freaking-real
Shocks and struts say Showa on them but can't read part numbers as the seller or someone has painted them gloss black.

I don't know how you drive but for me the ls rear swaybar was plenty enough, even the em1 had like a......13mm?....and it did the job.

Tire and wheel combo could help improve the roll. 14 may is too small IMO in this situation. 16 may be big enough to balance the weight. The lower you go, you reduce center of gravity and the car doesn't know where its at. Just my opinion.
