Integra won't start sometimes
I have a 98 integra gsr
Always starts in the morning or after it sits for a few hours
Won't start sometimes after I drive it and park it. Just cranks.
I hear the fuel pump when it do start
I don't hear the fuel pump when it don't start
I changed out the main relay already. Changed out fuel pump already. Same problem.
What could cause the fuel pump to work sometimes and not work sometimes?

when you changed your main relay sensor did you make sure all the wires are attached properly? I had that issue with that in my EJ1. I had to re-soder them together.

Still didnt fix my problem.
I just changed out the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor and my fuel pump been working when engine it hot.
Been working for the past few days. But we'll see how far this goes.

Re: Integra won't start sometimes
My integra is doing the same thing. I just posted a thread about it. I changed my distributor cap and rotor and did new wires and it seems like it is doing it less. Maybe start with those and see if it helps.

If you are not hearing the fuel pump, [when engine will not start] the problem is either the fuel pump itself, [prone to heat failure] or the PGM-FI Main Relay or wiring to it.
You said you changed the relay with known working ones so that leaves wiring.
You also said all the grounds are good, did you redo the, [disconnect/clean/reconnect] or did you just eyeball them?
Also, did you check/redo the thermostat grounds?
Did you check for the three powers to the PGM-FI Main Relay, [when engine is not starting]...
12V constant, hot at all times, yellow/white.
12V switched, hot in run and start, yellow/green.
12V switched, hot when cranking to start only, blue/white.
If all the above including the black ground, [grounded at thermostat housing] are good try this...
Use a jumper, paper clip or piece of wire to jump from the black ground on the PGM-FI Main Relay plug to the green/blue on the plug, [relay must be plugged in].
If pump turns on, the ECU/ECM is the problem. 94

Weird thing is after I changed out the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor, the fuel pump has been working when engine is hot.
If I ever run into this problem again, I will be sure to test out the three powers to the PGM-FI Main Relay and will change out the ECU.
