integra will not crank with key cylinder
So, bought the car from a friend, and he has this little switch hooked up to start the car. The issue is that I'm trying to get rid of the ghetto switch. It's hooked directly to the starter. Key in ignitiom, click to accessory and everything works fine. Click to on, everything works fine. Turn to "crank" and stereo turns off and HVAC fan turns off like it should but no starter. I connected the original wire before doing this, checked fuses and they all looked ookay. Searched the forum and didn't find this specific issue, more of key cylinder malfunction AFTER starting the car or car won't turn over but nothing to do with cylinder. Any suggestions? Car starts fine with the switch but it's kind of hood as fawk. Thanks!

When my ignition switch went bad it did something similar. What you have is a pretty common problem but more than one possible cause. Search the forums and the web. All the info is there I promise. But your liking at a switch or relay.

Re: integra will not crank with key cylinder
So all I could find was info about basically starting your car and then when you let go of the key or when you're driving and you hit a bump, the car shuts off (goes into accessory). I don't get why everything would turn off and all when i turn the key to start as when you normally start the car. I mean when I say that the radio turns off, and the blower, it's like it normally would when you start the car. Is there any way I can check voltage or see if there is anything being put out from the key cylinder when i turn it to start?

It can be a number of things, a bad CIS, a bad starter relay or even just bad connections.
Start by checking for voltage on the starter lead, [black/white] at the ign. switch when cranking to start, if good check the CIS, you can test it by unplugging it and installing a jumper into the plug, if still no crank you will need to check the starter relay. 94
