Default Intake question

From what I have seen/read, '94 & '95 GSR Integras come with a "Side Branch Tube" that is inserted into the intake arm. See figure no. 14 below:



A. What is the function of this "Side Branch Tube?"
B. Will using this on an Integra '96 and up have any unforeseen problems?

not sure but i think all that is is to catch any water....maybe just get urselft a $15 ebay short ram and not worry about it....or go turbo

I have an ls and it has the same tube coming from the arm also.

lots of times car companies put then on to reduce engine noise...how it works idk but thats normally what thats all about

I think you are wrong. Looks like the D17. Look at the suspension bolts, its got 3 instead of 2. looks like the shitty new suspension to me, No double wishbone there.

just wondering but what do u drive hotsuma23?? looks like that comes out of a 03-04 civic but idk bout that color on a newer civic

lol, well it's not the fastest thing around but its a good foundation. I'm just glad I am not rolling around with a SOHC civic or something.
