Most of us making decent money with decent credit can get a loan out on one or take out a home loan.......
Affording a 348/355 payments or getting the loan is the easy part......
Its the 30,000+ over time maybe more in keeping the car up to date and parts is what sets the owners apart.
You can own a older ferrari but im beating you cant afford to keep it running. Loans can be taken out on cars but you need cash or a credit car to fix it when it breaks.

People complain about a DSM and putting thousands into them to build/keep them running....It costs thousands upon thousands to keep a ferrari garage worthy let alone road worthy lol
My uncle has a 355 so I understand what it takes to keep them in good shape.

dude great find. wish i would have waited a bit, i drove to stockton a few months back to pick up my gs-r for $4000!!! wayy to much now i see, but my foggy goggles told me the car looked good. you're so lucky to find a stock one thats been dealer serviced. mine is pretty molested with questionable work on it (dude was a total douche bag bro). lots of half assed sh*t on it. for that price your good. ive already replaced motor mounts, axle, TPS, valve cover gasket, power steering pressure hose etc... i figure it will be worth it one day.

Today I took my GS-R to the Acura dealer. They knew the car. It was bought new there and the owner had it serviced its whole life at that dealership. No expense spared. I had them print me the service history and it dates back to the early 90's since the car was brand new. Its over 100 pages of service.
I had the oil changed, got the radio code just in case, also I had the air filter, fuel filter, and antenna mast changed. I ordered new cap, rotor, plugs and wires from the dealer. So its going to be fully serviced ready to go. Anyways here is a photo of the car at the dealer.

Thanks!!
Yeah the service advisor wasn't exactly happy to have to print all that for me. I guess the worst part was he had to open every single repair order to be able to print it. But he did, and he was really cool about it.
So today the Integra DIED AGAIN!! Man this car is giving me gray hair. I was out this morning running some errands when I turned the car off. I got back in a few minutes later and it started right up but died like I stalled it. Then it would not restart. I waited about 5 minutes and boom it started right up and ran fine all the way home. I believe the problem was in the Main Relay so I went to the dealer and bought another Main Relay and it seems to be fine. However I wont know if its fixed 100% for a few weeks. Because I need to drive it around a bunch and see if it has this problem again.

Just a heads up on another no start/stalling problem, that seems to be specific to Integras. Have the ignition coil checked, just in case. I've gone through two coils in mine over the years.
Sweet deal on a very sweet car BTW.
I paid a tad bit more, but not much more, for mine, than you did, but then again mine was a garaged kept, single owner Milano red 92, that only had 70K miles when I bought it ten years ago. I think it's up to 105K miles now.

Love your car!,
glad to see others keeping the factory twin cam Vtec cars on the road and stock.
It is a must that it is garaged though.
Keeping your location to yourself, and not trying to make to many friends on here local to your area, will help greatly with the security of your car.

So I started the restore of the cosmetic issues. Its so hard to take a nice clean looking car and start sanding on it. But it had to be done. The only real problems were the roof and spoiler, but the hood had lots of rock chips and both bumper had scuffs. So I am ending up painting most of the car. But we are doing all the work the right way. No cut corners, its going to be top of the line PPG paint, base clear, and color sanded and buffed.
Here it is looking all ugly.

damn that is an awesome pick up! I wish I would have kept mine stock or close to stock, but now I took the motor out, turbo'ed it and done a bunch of other things. It is such a fun car, take care of it, looks like you are a guy that takes care of his "toys"! Keep up the good work and keep us informed with tons of pictures!

Very nice, would love to stumble across something like that.
You up for a few hints?
I ask because it looks like the roof seam moldings are still in place and you taped a 1/2" away from the seam, is that correct.
Also the upper windshield molding is also still in place.
Hint 1, Both the roof seam and upper window moldings are easily removable, makes painting "seamlessly" easy and taping a POC.
I will just assume you are removing the front and rear clips for painting.
Hint 2 If you have not already, remove the rear wheel arch "protectors", [they are the one OEM/STOCK part you do not want] ever wonder why just about every Integra you have ever seen that was beginning to rust, was rusting at the rear wheel arches?
The rear wheel arch protector seems to have one purpose and one purpose only, to retain, [trap] moisture and dirt, the more dirt, the more moisture.
Discard the protectors, clean the area, inside edge of arch lip and spray down some Rust Bullet, or similar product, if you find no rust at all on the inside of the arch lips once you pull the protectors off, the car never ever got wet, I mean not even when washed, [cleaned].
As for the "no start/stall" problems, they are to be expected, even though the car is in very good shape there is some mileage and it is a 20 year old car, meaning 20 year old electronic parts that have been cycled, [turn on and off] who knows how many 1000s of times.
Hint 3, If it was my car and I could afford it, I would replace the complete distributor assembly, sell the old one on eBay as is, or keep it for parts, just in case.
Hint 4, PGM-FI Main Relays are a common problem on older Honda/Acura, here is the hint... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html can't hurt to have a working spare if you ever take the car for a longer trip, the same goes for the ICU, although more of a nuisance if it goes then a problem.
The same can be said for all engine sensors/solenoid/valves, they were not built to last for ever.
It is obvious the car has been maintained very well so I am guessing, even with the miles, mechanically the car is probably in as good a shape as the body/chassis is.
With that said, 100 pages of service records works out to a trip to the shop every 2.4mo. for 20 years, I have to think some of that has to be the dealer "piling on", would love to know what the total is of all those invoices??? 94

As for rust. There is not a single sign of any corrosion anywhere on this car. This has been a Sacramento CA garage kept car its whole life. We never see rust out here. But I will spend some time checking out those areas you mentioned to make sure I am not missing anything.
The no start issues have been sorted, after you and I discussed in great length the problems, I found a faulty ECU/ECM. I replaced it. Then I replaced the PGM-FI relay because I started getting a no hot start problem which has since been fixed as well
I will consider replacing the distributor, I did just replace the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filer, oil, and filter, all using factory Acura parts.
I would been interested in the total of all the invoices. Let me see if I get bored and I will add them up.
Thanks for the detailed reply. Look forward to updates here once the paint is on!

After lots and lots of hard work, I finally have a result. The car looks like glass.
I am going to get some better photos here in a day or so. It really windy right now and I dont want to get dust on the car.
