not cool at all. i had to walk through puddles up half way to my shins. my shoes are ruined. my carpets are soaked. there was water coming from underneeth the carpets. i'm afraid to rip my carpet out now. then to top off my woonderful day. i had a shitty day at work and not only did that happen but my car was severly misfiring to the point of stalling. i cna only attribute it to the flooding. dunno if electrical got wet or water spray sucked into the intake. at any rate i got a CEL and the codes the first time were 71 and 73, (misfire in cyls 1 and 3) drove around to clear it out as i didn't hear any knocking. so it seemed to clear up..
i reset the ECU and about 5 minutes into the idle my CEL comes on again. this time 71 and 74 (misfire cyls 1 and 4) so then i drove around for about an hour and a half wiht my cel on. feeling confident the motor was running "good" i reset the ECU again.. this time no cels. came home and sitll no cels. idle feels weird. it stutters very slightly every few seconds. barely noticable unless you have your hands on the wheel.
anywya when i got my clucth done the mech. told me my distributor is going... apparently the older dizzys have a bearing problem where they could potentialy sieze stopping the cam and breaking the t-belt. the dealer wanted like $350 for a new dizzy, which ws only the housing.. i sitll ahd to take the internals from my old one put it in the new one and install it. i was gonna go to a junkyard but my mech advised me that the chances of me getting the same type of dizzy is too high and i would ahve the same problem. i looked into it further and turns out there was a recall on the dizzy's but has since been retired. so i got gayed on that.
aight thats my day in a nutshell.

i have comprehensive insurance... but i think flood is seperate. i dunno the flooding wasn't THAT bad.. but it's def gonna smell

Not too bad dude, it could have been worse. I was in a similar situation last august and my motor sucked up a decent amount of water (compression tested 250-245-246-246 after this). My carpets were soaked and the car smelled like crap for a good week until the carpet totally dried out.
