Why are you guys making a big deal out of it for ? The b series vtec motors are made to rev high ...you guys act like hitting vtec damages the motor or something...the motor is made to do that !

they didnt make vtec for no reason..it lives in higher rpms, if i had it i would be in vtec all the time.

when i first got the car i'd be nudging the redline after ever set of traffic lights. these days i hit it about once or twice a day... gotta blow them cobwebs away

i shift at 3k almost all the time
i hit vtec maybe once a day if that
i rarely redline my car

I have a boosted LS and I see redline more than most of you guys, grow some nuts fellas. It's not like you are throwing a bar of boost at your engine, its just switchin cams... VTEC is nice, but its not that big of a deal

i always warm it up first and i dont usally hit VTEC or take it pass 3.5k for the first 30mins. After that i shift at around 4k-4.5k. I usally hit Vtec about 3 times a wk (around 4.5-5.5k). I dont take it to redline much, maybe 1-2 a month at most. Hard to let off gas when you have the sound of a comptech cat-bac

and full boost is at 4400 rpm, im in vtec ALOT.
i would say i hit 6000 rpm 70 percent of the time
