Hit a curb on an 97 Gsr...Need Help ASAP
Ok i hit a curb pretty bad.
It was with the Drivers side. The weel is siting back about 1 2 inches back from its original place and rubing the metal like crazy.....sounds bad to me but i am shure HT people have seen worse.
Do i need to change the lower control arm and am i loking at anything else to change?
Here is a picture of what i have.
Heres a pic of the driver side LCA...
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic
Looks pretty bent up to me

Check everything.you'll be needing an alignment and all that for sure. Get the car in the air though, you'll most likely have to change the LCA though, goodluck.

You most likely are going to need a lca just get a stock one! and if its really bad you will need a rack and pinion but you just might be able to get away with it, i hit a curb in my 98'' gsr pretty bad! at the track trying to pass a Lotus and swerved out i had to replace the front lca and rear drum assembly, still neads an alighnment but its not bad so gl.

holy **** man, how fast were you going when you hit that curb..... you need to go to an alignment shop and have that checked out. Hopefully you just bent the LCA...
My guess would be that you need a new LCA, strut, and maybe more.... you might have to replace the entire suspension on that side.
Good Luck

churning? My money's on the subframe being shifted, in addition to LCA damage. You will probably have to get the car on a frame machine at a body shop in order to verify if the subframe is still straight or not.

The LCa is bent for shure. I took the wheel of today and its about an iinch and a half fom were its suppose to be. Ill find out once i install the LCA and measure it up and see if subframe indeed shifted or didnt....My money is on that it didnt shift lol

More than likely you're gonna have to have a fender too to avoid tire rubs unless you gonna try to bend it back until u get a new one good luck though?

You might have allignment issues with the fender, you van see where it was pushed back into the door. Change out that LCA and good luck.
