Help/suggestion on my ITR project
I recently picked up a DB8 with a B18C5 swap and I'm trying to address all the issues.
1) How important are the front lower engine mounts? I think they call it transmission and torque mounts. The ones on the car are torn completely. I purchased 75A engine mounts (the top two and the rear) since the car will see some track time and was wondering if the lower mounts are necessary? If they are, who makes harder material bushings than the oem ones? I noticed Energy Suspension has these two halves type that you zip tie together and install it into the factory mount casing. Are these any good? Can't imagine a two piece design to be that great.
2) For the rear trailing arm, the large bushing is partially torn as well. Any recommendations on of who makes a replacement part? Do I need a "press" to get the old one removed? Is this something best left for a shop to do?
So far I've replaced the rear LCA, installed a subframe brace, and an adjustable rear sway bar this weekend. Thankfully the front suspension components look ok for now.
I've ordered SS Stoptech brake lines and those are going in next weekend along with RBF 600 brake flush. The car has the ITR 5 lug conversion and its brakes. Any pad recommendations? I ran carbotech in my S2000 and curious what others used. Will the car benefit greatly if I changed the rotors with aftermarket slotted ones or brakes don't really fade on this car (light weight and low hp). Guess I may be getting too specific but do oil temps great really hot with this motor? I was thinking of getting an oil cooler.
Thanks in advance!

HP+ pads. The xp10 carbo-techs are beasts if you're running around a track. dunno what number you had, Brembo blanks all that slotted/drilled stuff is pointless it will eat your pads and offer no benefit. Unless you're competing in GTA:SLB or similar, no you don't need an oil cooler obsessing over it is like those N/A kids wanting a 4 line catch can. The JDM ITR/C5 come with an oil cooler on the back of the block more than enough for most ppl.

Hard race are good in my experience. I have a set of hard race trailing arm bushings with less than 5k miles on them that you can have for the price of shipping if you want them. I replaced them, then went back and bought a full kit and just went ahead and had the new ones put in since I was going to have to take them out and reclock them anyways.

Re: Help/suggestion on my ITR project
Thanks, great info everyone. I'll most likely go with the hardrace RTA bushings. Hawk hp+ pads seems to be the ones that everyone uses. I ran XP8 on brembo blanks on my s2k and worked really well. Would XP8 compound kill (crack) the stock ITR rotors? I was thinking of brembo slotted just for the fronts but wasn't sure if it was necessary.
Never knew ITR came with an oil cooler. Is it the sandwich kind that runs around the coolant lines? Can you post pics so I can make sure the motor has it? In the event the motor doesnt have it, is it necessary for 20-30min track sessions?
Any recommendations for front upper A arms? I need to dial in more camber. Skunk2 worth the money over something like Godspeed?

Re: Help/suggestion on my ITR project
Are the lower engine mounts the same on AT and MT cars?
Not referring to the upper mount on the passenger side. That looks like there is a difference depending what type of transmission you have.
