Which header would you choose?
I got a 00 GS-R. I know a lot of people stick with the DC SPORTS. I was wondering if there is another header that will give you more power and performance. Can I have some opinions please.

sure, get yourself an OEM JDM Type R manifold, or a Mugen one if you want to pay $1k for it.
I'd say stick with one that costs $300 or less. That's my personal preference

how much are u lookin to spend....around the 1k u have hytech and toda, then around 500 u have the comptech TIG header ( what im plannin to do due to i cant afford 1k header)...or around 300-400 have the dc sports....if u were goin to go with dc sports i would go with the jdm 4-1 header (2.5 inch collector, flows well)...then u can spend 150 on a ebay header.... .....just remeber what ever u get that u get what u pay for

All depends on what kind of power goals you have... What other mods do you have?
If your not gonna replace the cat with a high flow cat, and get a new cat back , I say there is no point in getting a header. If you have a 2.25 cat back, I wouldn't get a 2.5" header because your creating a bottleneck... so it all depends on what your going to do to your car.

Re: (shupaGSR)
depends on what ur setup is.. what ur goals are..
u cant' just ask "whats the best ___ for my car"
if u dont give any other information as to what ur gonna use ur car for(intentions, goals etc.).. u have a lot of research to do.. other than just asking this one question... u shouldn't always let others make these kinds of decisions for you before you do any other type of research..

Well, lets see, headers that make more power than a standard DC. Assuming proper tuning, you will find success with:
JDM ITR
Hytech
SMSP
Toda
JUN
Spoon
JDM DC
AN-R
Comptech Race
...the list goes on.

Re: (Kendall)
Don't expect to get large gains with just a header. You'll realize real gains when you upgrade to larger cams. Then you can exploit the larger, better and sometimes more expensive headers. I gain the most with an AEM CAI, more than my Comptech header and exhaust. CAI was the best bang for the buck.
Plan out what direction you want to go with with the performance of your car or if you just want some bling cuz everyone else has one. That way you'll save yourself a lot of money in the end.
Good luck!

I'm going with J's, just want to try out their parts, I will probably dyno test everything and let the site know so people can decide if it's a good buy.
