hand brake light stays on when cold

Re: hand brake light stays on when cold (NAmodified)
Is the level in the brake fluid reseviour low? (If so, it may indicate a leak or just worn out brake pads, so don't just fill it all the way up without checking that out). Or, parking brake is borderline out of adjustment or cable is hanging up.

Exactly what he said , if the brake fluid is low, it likely means you need new pads.

Re: hand brake light stays on when cold (95 integra)
ive read it could be something to do with the brake fluid filter(ive heard there is one...)
My integra does it also..only on cold mornings..goes off after warming up..
and was on when i needed new brake pads and my rotors were warped

it is a typical integra problem. it happened to mine last year and again this year when it got cold. assuming the fluid level is good then just lift up the brake resevoir cap and pull it up then put it back and and screw it back on. presto. if you dont believe me try it first or do a search and that typically is the problem, i couldnt telly ou why i jsut know it works.
