Default h22 dc2?....

coming down to the decision of what kinda motor work i want done.. currently my GSR has a jdm b18b w/gsr tranny and 6 puck.. i was going to go first ls/vtec then turbo but have been thinking h22.. had 3 hatches in the previous years with h22 and am really comfortable with the motor.. and i dont really wanna put all that money and time into the ls/vtec turbo if i could just drop an h22 in and be stronger and faster.. saw a dc2 w/ h22 swap run a 12.7.. i would be satisfied with that.. i dunno.. =/ havent really talked to anyone about it cuz been trying to keep it a secret.. but WTf.. any suggestions, comments.... please..

I'd have to say stick with the b18, but you're asking this in the integra forum... so you may get some biased answeres... whereas if you were to ask this in the Prelude, or even the Accord forum, you're going to hear h22, h22, h22...

Don't have to go to the Lude forum for that ... my DC2 runs one and I love it

I love it, the extra TQ is really nice, pulling on ITRs is fun.

Yup, even driven it through 2 winters (gonna be stored this year). No probs.

It's pretty straight forward but you do need a list of parts. Wiring is the longest part.

As far as I can tell? Yup. I'd email the company and ask them to be 100%.

No, depending on what midshaft you get, you need diff axles.

90-93 Accord Midshaft = 90-93 Teggy Axles
92-96 Lude Midshaft = 86-89 Teggy outers and shaft mated to 92+ Lude inner joints (assuming you have a 92-96 H22)

I purchased aftermarket ones from http://www.raxles.com and am very happy with them.

I have I/H/E for now (motor mod wise, my suspension is completely done too), and it pulls hard and doesn't feel any heavier than my B18. Going FI this spring and I can't wait. LSD Tranny is really nice to have. Overall, I'm very happy.

I've never run it with the H22 but we put an H22 in a friend of mine's 94 GS and it ran a 14.2 on street tires bone stock/full interior.

You wil probably lose AC, PS can be salvaged if you get the right mounts and a 97+ lude PS pump, the main PS line from the DC2 can be re-used and will bolt on.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Timing belt will be a bitch once you have the motor in the car.

i have a dc2 with a h22. my clutch went out so i had to change it. when i was done, i dropped the motor back in, started it up and i got a check engine light. its a code 16 (fuel injectors). it ran fine still i took it out. what could it be? does anyone know? cause i dont want to buy new injectors if thats not the problem. my car runs but i have a red line at 6,500 RPM and im wasting gas. 16miles per gallon!!!!! it sucks. and plus i no longer have VTEC and all my wires are wired up right too. HELP!

Mine was done right and I've had no problems. A new clutch is pretty much a must.

Good luck in your decision.
