Gsr vs Prelude

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
i've had a 2001 prelude and a i have a 4 door gsr now. i loved my prelude, but it had common problems with grinding gears, reverse bein almost impossible to get in to, and the stigma of being a girl car haha. i was the first owner of the car. was def nice and quiet inside and has some good low end. you gotta drive both to decide really... my gsr i guess i can;t really compare tho, being a 4 door, and that it has db8R everything a fully built ls-v,etc, etc

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
I don't mind the newer bodystyle AS much, but I still don't like the cars, just in general. Do you have to own a movie to tell that it sucks? Answer: no, you don't. Now that we have established that you don't have to own something to compare it with something else, i'll say it again--preludes suck...if they're so great, then why did you get rid of yours? I think they're ugly inside and out, and rather heavy. Thank God they stopped making them.

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
Someone may have already states this but CAR for CAR in stock form the GSR, SHOULD be slightly (Only marginally) faster then the prelude however, I have seen STOCK 01's pull low 14 second passes, however, MOTOR SWAP included, if u were to place both motors in two chasis of equal weight and desgin the Prelude motor (If in vtec form) should and would out perform the GSR everytime (More Torque, way more horsepower). It sounds like you're looking to purchase the cars in stock form so if it's SPEED your actually concerned about I dunno, the two of them aren't that far apart and both are great cars to own, it comes down to preference and parts pricing I suppose in which the preludes parts are a bit more expensive yet again I say, Marginally.
I've owned both, both are awesome cars, honestly i'd probably go prelude just because of the greater potential of power on boost.

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
I've owned a 95 GSR and now a 00' GSR, love them. When I was looking for my 00' GSR, I also did research on other cars I might like. One of those cars was the Prelude. The #1 problem I found in my internet searches was the amount of people on forums asking about transmission problems between 90k - 130k. 100% new transmission most of the time, so after I saw this I stopped looking at ludes. <3 GSR

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
I got rid of it for the same reason I get rid of all my cars, boredom. I'm 25 and on my 15th car. I wasn't trying to be a dick about it, just most people talk crap about things they know nothing about. If you don't like the Preludes for those reasons then that's fine; to go as far as saying that no one wants them is just ignorant. (no offense)

Re: Gsr vs Prelude
Ive owned both and like the 5th gen prelude base and type SH way more. The prelude is way more fun to drive for me and dam does it look good. Im not going to lie i like a nice JDM front integra but i dont like having to worry about thieves.
