ground control coilovers vs springs
im going to be lowering my car soon, and at first i thought i'd get H&R sport springs, but now im thinking about getting ground control coilovers. i know coilover sleeves arent as good as full coilovers, but the ground controls are supposed to be pretty good. how do they compared (in handling, ride, and overall) to springs such as the H&R sports? ive heard that a lot of people who autocross and stuff get koni yellows and ground control coilovers, and thats what i plan on getting. so my question is how do they compare against springs. i want my handling to be really good, and if the ground controls handle as well as springs then i'll get them so i have the adjustable ride height.

good. I don't have them, but heard many good things. Plus the springs are made by eibach, and which i have and they are made with good quality. Stiff yet comfortable.

Re: ground control coilovers vs springs (frogsr)
Just rode in a 91 Integra with some Ground Controls this Friday for the 1st time and must admit, they're pretty smooth. This was on factory shocks too. Make sure you get the soft spring rate if you want that nice, comfortable ride.

Get the customer spring rate for sure if you are going to autox. And if you plan on using the koni's get a spring rate of 400f/350-375r. Here's why.

I had ground control with koni yellows, they work pretty well, but I like the skunk2 coilovers more now. Seem to handle better.

Re: ground control coilovers vs springs (spd18)
I'm putting my car back to stock, so I'm selling a set of Neuspeed/Bilstein Coilovers. My car's lowered 3", rides and handles great. I've had them in my car since fall '00. I'm looking to get $600 + shipping. (they're $1000 new)
I'd post an ad in the classifieds, but I'm new and it won't work yet.
thanks

coilovers are better because you get to adjust them to any height that you want. plus, since ground controls use eibach springs... the performance factor is there. eibach definitely has set a great reputation in their springs.

Re: ground control coilovers vs springs (Dr. RAB01GSR)
so if i was to get GC's and koni yellows i would need to get the yellows revalved for the GC's? or could i use it at the stock setting (for the yellows)? also, you are saying that when i order the GC's i tell them what spring rate i want? what are the differences and how do i know exactly what i want depending on what how i am going to drive (autox/street/whatever)?
