eh...double clutching will also remedy the situation.
Anyone have a link to that site that carried carbon coated synchros? Or is that not a good idea? I would go with cryogenically treated synchros...but I fear they'd become brittle?

Re: grinding gears (PlastikOwl)
um i got my trans fluid changed at the dealer for bout 24 bucks....and they just used the oem tranny fluid...well i dont member it griding b4 they changed it but mayb it did...ne ways i was just lookin into the syncro mesh FM and wondering does this have ne long term effects on ur syncros.and like it says at the top it just when i tak it to redline, regular shifting is fine....and its not a terrible grind it just a lil one...and how many quarts do i have to buy of this...and do i just drain my tranny and put this stuff in...and one more thing, this might sould stupid but would ne one b able to give directions on how to change the fluid, draing, and put the new stuff in...liek do i just take the drain bolt out and let it drain, but how would u put it in b/c u reallly cant get a bottle underneath and pour it in...and just if ur wonderin y i dont get it rebuilt is b/c im 17 and dont have the money for it...any help would b greatly appreciated....thanx

the GM synchromesh is actually Pennzoil Syncromesh which you can get at autozone or pepboys. and it is cheaper.
my gs-r has 94,xxx on it now and i hardly grinds when going into 3rd, and i run just Honda MTF. i found my problem was a leaking clutch master cylinder, which is a big problem in alot of integras.
luv: i know a couple people who run nothing but synchromesh in all of their cars, it has never caused any problems.
and to fill it, just get a funnel and put a clean piece of large diameter vacuum hose on the end of it. make sure it is long enough to reach the fill bolt from the top of the car, and their you go.
