What type of integra? A gsr or ls if an ls jsut regular unleaded, if it is a gsr then premium. No point in putting higher octane gas in you car if it wasnt engineered to do so.

non-vtec cars will not run better for those of you who use 91+ octane.

87 burns better in the LS as it was the type of gas intented to be used in that car.

Do a quick search. Putting in a higher than recommended per manual will be of no benefit, and in some cases could actually be hurting the performance of the engine. If you think it runs better, it's in your head.

it's all in your head, if your car is stock (even with bolt ons) there will be no difference....except maybe cleaner air according to BP

Re: (xteg95)
never had any problems with it, plus if you're advancing your timing in anyway: you're gonna need a higher octane gas to prevent knocking. too my knowledge higher octane burns cleaner, you will not have carbon build up....

87, reason to run 91+ or 92 is because those gasoline makes your car run smoother, once in a while is cool to run it, but if it's an ls just run 87, you wont benefit from runing a 91, just a waste of money.

Re: (crxma22)
it was a joke to you? you must be stupid then. im just saying theres no need to run 91+ when factory say you run 87, if you were to watch the news, theres no benefit of running 91 for an ls, plus saving a couple bucks here and there will add up. GAS is still rising

always used sunco 94 octane in my GSR but when I got my LS I decided to step down and go with 87 saved a lot more money too.

i hear ya and agree with what your saying lighten up but the news and manual is talking about a stock ls, and i said i run 91 in my "modded" 98 ls key word... so i pay an extra 2 dollars just for the peace of mind...

Unless you have higher compression or forced induction, anything more than regular is a waste of money. If your LS is knocking with regular, you have problems elsewhere that need to be fixed.
Higher octane is just harder to ignite, so you aren't benefiting in any way running it on an engine that doesn't need it.

Re: (Sleeper Style)
This is completely absurd. There is no reason for putting higher octane then the manual asks for. They ask for the fuel grade that is necessary for your car at the highest altitude for liability. If you're putting in higher octane you're just wasting money, even if you think it makes you look cool on H-T. /Discussion.

You're ******* brain dead dude.
It's a proven fact that putting higher octane fuel in a car that doesnt require it is not beneficial and could be infact detrimental to performance and your motor.
