exhaust system question regarding jdm dc 4-1 and apex'i ws
hi... im really confused here.. i have a 1994 GSR coupe. i already bought a JDM DC 4-1 96-97 acura integra header... right.. im confused wether or not to get the TYPE R or GSR application for the apex'i world sport cat-back exhuast.
which one should i get?? the type r or gsr application?? i am also going to be getting a high flow cat from a muffler shop and installed there too. I dont want them to be fukin with the header or the exhaust. if the gsr application for the exhuast is too long..they might have to shorten the exhuast a lil by cutting it.. and i dont want that to happen.
is the TYPE R and GSR exhuast the same length?? please help me.

Why would you want a Type R application on your GSR?
Second, the JDM DC 4-1 has a 2.5" collector, why would you want to go from a 2.5" collector to a 2.25" exhaust? Look into getting a 2.5" exhaust instead.

He is thinking Type-R because of the longer JDM header. The 94 GSR's used a shorter cat as well as a shorter header if I am not mistaken.
I am running into the same issue, but backwards. I just got a ITR catback for my 94 GSR sedan. I still haven't taken the time to see how it will fit, but I was thinking a combination of JDM header, and a longer ITR cat may allow my cat back to bolt right up.
Well I cant answer your question, but I hope I clarified the issue.

Cru_Jones <-- thats exhuast what my problem is.. thanks for clarifying things.. i already bought the JDM DC 4-1 for $250 brand new... so i cant complain about that.. as for the apex'i ws.. the only reason i want it is becuase its much quieter than other exhuast.. I want and need quiet! are there any other exhuast that is 2.5" that is kinda quiet?

the usdm type R catback will not be a 2.5" application. it is around the same as any 2.25 aftermarket exhaust. the issue will be mating the header to an aftermarket cat, which you should look into. if money allows, get a 2.5 inch exhaust/cat to fully utilize the header.

i do not wnat the STOCK TYPE R EHXUAST.. im talkin about the APEX'I WORLD SPORT EXHUAST application for either the TYPE R or the GSR... is there a size difference in both?? is the GSR one longer than the TYPE R?? would it be recommended to get TYPE R since my JDM DC header is longer??
