Re: (trepteg)
I just picked up an MFactory short shifter. It looks stock and shifting is short but not too short while keeping the OEM feel. It's smooth and the **** is at the same height as the stock shifter. I recommend it.

**** position in 1st gear with the MFactory short shifter.

I have a Skunk 2 dual bend shifter but the best mod I made to it was the Skunk ****...that thing is weighted perfectly, it makes every shift effortless...cheesey I know but don't knock it till you try it

It's all about personal preference bro, I had a skunk dual bend on an EJ2 and loved it until I got an ITR one. They were both great but even now I have a stock GSR one and don't even really mind it.

Please explain to me why a short shifter/weighted *** will cause grinds?

Sry, sarcasm. I was trying to see what half-cocked answer he would have. Another one of those things, like kids saying long gears are good for boost because "you stay in boost longer"

Because if I used locktite, I would have a hard time removing the ****. I don't see any problems using the locknut they gave me.

+1, you guys can have fun ******* up syncros but im happy with the stock ones, it shifts fast enough already. plus if you have any grinds its gonna make em a lot worse.

Re: Do you perfer a short shifter? (95teg_ls)
Ive got a B&M dual bend on my DA and I love it. The speed of the shifts was the least of my concerns when choosing one, the overall feel of it is great and it sits pretty low which I like and the dual bend brings it closer to me. So much more comfortable and solid feeling than stock or the previous short throw that was in the car.
I do agree with the statement that the stock shifter can be shifted just as fast as a short throw, so I wouldn't buy one just for that reason.

Please explain to me how short shifters will **** up your synchronizer rings? Please don't tell me that you honestly think it's because you're shifting "too fast" for the transmission.

its not that hard to break the bond of loctite....i just think the lock nut ruins the clean look. your car anyways

Re: (integra racr04)
i got the oem shifter and i recently broke off some thread off it, now it's become my short shifter with about half of a inch of thread left and it feels good , and the good part is my numbers are upside down...

I vote the stock GSR shifter, with a weighted **** like skunk2 or blox, etc...
I had a short throw TMW shifter and **** in a tC once, and although it was a little more fun when driving aggressively, it kind of got old for casual driving. Cannot deny its excellent quality though.
Plus, I dont like to stretch to reach my shifter.

Funny, i bought the Skunk 2 Dual Bend and 440 Gram shiftnob for purely aesthetic reasons , I had a grind in second gear at high rpms (7.8-8.1k) and when i installed the short shifter i havent had it once
