Default DjBurns 98 GSR Project (Update Jan 30)

OK so here it is. i got this car almost a year ago. It started out as a semi built GSR with a intercooled JRSC setup. After driving it for a bit the motor started to act up and smoke. so i took it out and sold everything off, motor, trans, and SC stuff. then i tossed in a 98+ JDM ITR swap. In Sept i drove it car 5600km in 54 hours to get back from living in Alberta (Red Deer) for my move back to Nova Scotia (Halifax). Drove the car for about one month and then i put it into winter storage. and now all the work starts.

What it was.

Motor:

- JE pistons (forged)
- Eagle H-beam Rods (forged)
- Balanced Crank
- Jackson Racing Supecharger System (9.5 psi)
- LHT Performance Air To Water Intercooler with Front Mount (Race Kit)
- Skunk2 Cam Gears
- Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
- Short Ram Intake
- Kamikazie Header (2.5")
- 2.5'' Exhaust with Twin loop muffler
- RC 550cc Injectors
- Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump
- Hondata s200 system with boost option
- OBD2 to OBD1 conversion with ECU

Exterior Modifications

- OEM JDM Front End Conversion
- Type-R black housing headlights with HID's
- OEM Lip kit
- Type-r spoiler
- JDM Type-r honda emblems
- JDM 94-97 Tailights

Handling/Brake Modifications

- Neuspeed Sport Springs
- Falken Ziex 512's (205/50/R15)
- Brembo Slotted/Drilled Rotors
- Axxis pads

ITR Swap Pics

Got a friend of mine to take some pics before i put it away.
And now the project starts.

yeah its going to paint in a few weeks. maybe just after new years. its going white (thinking the new SI white "teffita (sp) white") all the moldings and logos are going also. new wheels, suspension and lip kit, along with all the motor goodness. (sleeves, rods, pistons and so on.) what sucks is that i work away from home in Alberta. i am gone for 21 days in a row and am home for 7. so there is alot of running around to get things done when i am home. getting the parts is not a problem because they are there waiting for me most of the time. its just finding time to get the work done. but i will keep the updates coming. and thanks for the positive remarks.

loving that SC setup! is that just the LHT manifold with air-water? how does that work? do you have to keep adding water to a reservoir?

the LHT kit worked great. it just had its own coolant system. just put normal coolant in it.

Looks awfully familiar, bought out of Ontario?

That car was amazing when it was in town here.. I bought my teg off the same seller as you I'll show him this thread, he'd be interested to see the current progress on the car.

Keep us updated !
