DIY valve adjustment, I bent the feeler gauges to fit in. Couldnt find the pre-bent ones in the sizes i needed. Was doin my thing. Friend was like "is that spose to be in there" i was like umm..no. about an inch long piece of feeler gauge droped near my springs. No biggie, just glad he told me.

Funny how you brought this up! STUPID mistakes always happen and I believe it's the cause of most problems...like when you finish a project but it doesn't work right. Most likely that's because of something stupid! The other day we were 100 miles from home installing my turbo. Well, we return the car back to stock (needed extra parts) and it was now 5 AM. The kid that owned the house went to sleep already. So now we start up the car, and it's having some issues. Aside from the oil pan leaking oil (thanks to the kid not tightening it right) it was running like *** because a hose wasn't connected to the map sensor stopper. We ended up sleeping outside in 20 degree weather. Gotta love it!

this should probably be in another forum.. maybe members corner or something..
but anyway... I let my friend put on my front wheel (torque it down) while I was doing the rear... these were new rims w/ the hollow/tuner lugs... he decided to be a dumb *** and STEP on the tire wrench so that its "tight" well that made the tuner lug split/deform and I had a hell of a time trying to take the lug out (the key wouldn't work in that lug anymore because it was split/deformed)..

well if you guys are mentioning it I'll do it too.
I just got my rims refinished and I was putting them on at the shop, I was kinda in a hurry so I tell my friend to put the other side on , when the car was jacked up.
Well I put my side on and went to pay the guy for the rims. My buddy finished too and he puts the car down, we start leaving and I hear something scratching, I go outside, I look and my pasenger side & my buddy, installed one of the rims, with the use of only one bolt. The lip on the rim was half way scratched, but he paid for the refinish of it, so it was all good.

took out the passenger side engine mount and didn't realize that the rear bolt was welded on, so I held a combination wrench on the bolt and put a breaker bar on the nut and tried to loosen it. I broke the nut loose, but that was after breaking two 1/2" - 3/8" adapters and 4 sockets

Bleeding rear drum brakes on a car, then snapping the bleeder screw on one side...I was like ****, I'm not going to let that happen on the other side. Did the other drum, broke the bleeder screw in half AGAIN...I was like, uh dude, I think you might need new wheel cylinders.

I bought hobby shop red paint to do my taillights on my old Civic and didn't tape up enough of the car. My car was black with a transparent red clear coat

i overtightened the bolts on the valve cover, snapping one, then i told myself i wont do it again, right before i broke another one. i had to zip tie it down untill i got new studs so oil went everywhere, then honda gave me the wrong ones wo they are too long....

Took my spark plugs out to check them and make sure everything was in good shape. I put them back in, connect the spark plug wires (all but one) took it out for a run and it felt slow as hell... couldn't figure out what it was ( the wire was set in there but not connected) so i drove my car to checker to get some new plugs, upon putting them in i realized that the damn wire wasn't on

put the front driver's side strut in (after lots of pushing to compress the damper) only to find that we left the brake line on the wrong side.

come on, everybody makes mistakes.
I also cannot remember the last time I broke something that I did not intend to break.
