DC Stainless Catback Cracked TWICE
Yes, you read correctly...My DC Catback cracked for the second time in 2 years (it's two years old). The first time was probably a faulty weld since the weld on the b-pipe cracked. However, this time the actual pipe cracked inbetween the b-pipe and the mounting arms. The crack is just before the place where the mounting arms are welded to the exhaust pipe. I'm beyond pissed and am contemplating selling it once I get the situation in order w/ DC (or should I say AEM). I've heard all sorts of opinions on DC stuff, mostly good ones however.
Just needed to vent...now I'm gonna go punch the wall or something.

weird...my dc header took all sorts of abuse, even a gigantic dent from something im not sure of when my car was real low, and never cracked or anything. was ceramic though.

No, my car isn't lowered...In fact, it's bone stock except for the CAI + Cat. I was planning on lowering it later this summer along with adding a new clutch/flywheel and LSD. Now, I'm getting more nervous about doing **** b/c of my recent problems with this freakin POS exhaust.

so in summary, Crack kills
i'd say save your mod money dude. Better get a different class of car than trying to make the economy compact pretend to be more than it is.

Re: (narib2oo1)
I have had a dc stainless header and catback on my 00 gsr since new with zero problems. the only thing i noticed is it seems to be louder and backfire slightly. Check to make sure all of your hangers are properly attached and also check all of your motor mounts to make sure your engine isn't flexing too much thus putting added stress on your exhaust.

Re: (purplevtec)
my DC catback broke off completely at the resonator. the weld on the b-pipe totally cracked and the two seperated. i have a pic somewhere i should put up. but anyway, the same exact thing happend to my roommate when he had his integra. his broke about 6 months before mine did in the exact same place. and he probably had the exhaust about 6 months before i did. so i dont know what it was. all DC sports stuff seems to be manufactured fairly well, but they must of screwed something up with their GSR exhaust systems.
