damn big rigs, got a rock chip/crack on windshield!
i got a small rock chip on my windshield and there are little cracks surrounding the rock chip. its about the size of a quarter. are there any good windshield repair kits out there?
damn big rigs. we should be able to make insurance claims for stuff like this and put them responsible. i dont think big rigs should be driving 90 mph shooting rocks out like that.

Should be driving that close behind them!
It happens, kinda hard to avoid that stuff, just the cost of owning a car. You don't think you've ever kicked something up from the road and hit someone else's windshield?
Some insurance companies actually have windshield damage coverage. They would rather pay for a windshield repair than have to replace the whole thing.

I love the bullshit the big trucks pull too, like the stickers that say "NOT responsible for objects thrwn from road", and they're driving with an untarpped load knowing damn well ***** flying outta the truck.!

most of the time people complain about this kinda crap, they didnt even see the rock come outta the truck....it was probably just kicked up from the road, which you cant avoid except by not driving so close behind the person. the insur company i work for, if you call in a glass claim, there is an option for object falling from other vehicle where you'd provide a plate # for the truck, most people dont have the plate # though.

This same thing has happened to friends while we were driving. One was able to simply call the company who owned the truck and gave them the plate number and within a few weeks he recieved a check from the company to cover the cost.
The other friend tried the same thing and the company refused to pay. He called the mayors office of the city it happened in and gave them the company and plate number and recieved a check shortly after from the city.
Try it ... it might work for you. I once called the city when I hit a pole hole and they covered the cost to repair and filled the pothole the next day.

or 60 bucks.
will look like a dried water spot on your window when finished.
they usually will not repair it if its within the drivers line of sight.

Re: (LAKER HATER)
usually in most insurance policy's theres a road hazard protection, or well atleast theres one in mine and if u get a cracked windshield or a chip by anything that came off the road they will either repair it or replace it for free. ask ur compnay about it.
but as we all know insurance co's are douches for making us pay so much for insurance so my god we should atleast get something for free insurance co's making us pay giagnourmous amounts of money =

I don't know of any kits that allow you to fix it yourself, but i work at safelite and for $59.95 we will send a mobile repair unit out to pretty much anywhere
