Default Computer/electrical failure traced to remote starter

edit: title is now inaccurate. i pulled the starter/alarm and i still have issues.

A while ago I posted about how my car went haywire, and I thought my automatic transmission gave up.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-6/reading-codes-check-trans-d4-lights-2493873/

The shop called me this morning to say after replacing the P55 ECM, testing all the diagnostics and wiring, "all the factory equipment checks out." He believes the remote starter is causing the problems, making the electronic load detector throw a code, preventing the charging system from keeping a charge on the battery, and making the transmission solenoids throw a code.

He told me he's not sure what else he can do since I have no paperwork for the remote starter, and he is not comfortable really working on it (it's a transmission shop).

I am looking at maybe another $100 towing charge, though I can sell one of my P55 computers now that we know both are good.

What should I do? Could I find the remote starting unit and look for a part number to Google? What are the chances of me being able to remove this unit? I have zero experience with remote starters, but the kits come with instructions for DIY installs, right? I just don't know how likely it is that I can identify the part.

I think I am going to call WeeBee audio and a few other places around town to see if they would like to check it out, but I can't imagine their time being much cheaper than the current shop.

I haven't seen the bill for all of the work/time so far, but I think I am under $1,000 still. Thanks for any replies.

I just talked to a coworker who had to remove a remote starter for his Toyota truck to run properly. He says he did it himself but it was years ago. I am still reading up on this, despite the lack of interest from you guys here on honda-tech.
