Using the club.
Using the club on your bone stock 1990 LS integra with steel rims and that looks like it is going to fall apart from all the rust.
Putting drag radials on at the track so your 110 WHP gets traction.

painting the air vents and little spaces in your interior some bright color, then trying to match it will some gay cluster garnishes.
running a different set of rims front/back on your DD.
sparco, recaro, memory fab type racing seats for your 110 whp coupe.
cutting springs.
only springs and shocks for your 15 year old complete suspension.
a bogus spoiler.
putting blue tint on your round oem headlights.
those clear corner lens' for DAs off ebay.
altezza style tails.
gaudy valve covers.
red rims on a blue teg.

Revving on other cars so they race you. Like when you're coming back from the dyno and a stock integra wants to race you; only to realize that you are turbocharged and they end up getting totally blown away. Then they take the next exit to avoid embarrassment.
The ricer flyby is a good one. I find that a painted intercooler keeps most honda "racers" at bay because they think your car is stock.

Building an LS/VTEC without upgrading the rod bolts.
"Upgrading" to 17 inch wheels that weigh more than stock.
Running huge brakes with all season tires.

boosting a high compression motor and expecting it to last.
if you're wise you'll save your money and boost a subaru or something thats gonna deliver what you want out of it.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
one of the largest misconceptions in the boosting world. Its not wrong/incorrect to boost a higher compression motor there is just a smaller margin for error come tuning. Look at stock gsr motor thats considered a higher compression motor seeing 10:5:1 stock cr. So are you telling me its not right to boost that motor becuase it doesnt have forged "low" compression pistions in it?
As far as the motor lasting. As long as you have put your car together with GOOD parts, assembled everything the CORRECT way, and had your car PROPERLY tuned for your setup there is no reason why the motor wont last. If everything on your car is egay and your method of tuning is a air to fuel controller then yes your motor will tko.
And how can you even say a subaru? The EJ20 is the BIGGEST P.O.S. out there today. Also good luck making 300+whp out of one of those and expect the driveline to stay alive lol.
How about that one, people that have a modded car and deside to tune with a narrow band and a air to fuel controller

Not to go on an OT rant, but it depends on the EJ20 in question. There are several versions, not dissimilar from how Honda has multiple versions of the B18. The US WRX motor is an EJ205 which, along with it's transmission, is basically a glorified boat anchor. On the other hand the EJ207 (JDM STi motor) and EJ208 (Legacy GTB motor) have damn close to bomb proof bottom ends, and trannys that are significantly more capable than anything we ever got over here. Subaru's have interchangeable parts almost to the same tune as the Honda's, and there are desirable and undesirable chassis', engines, and trannys all the same.
It makes sense that a lot of Honda people frown on Subaru's, most of the engineering ideals that Subaru has tried to capture with their cars is WAY different than what Honda tried to capture with theirs. In a similar vein, I know a lot of Subaru guys who view Honda's in a similar vein. Ultimately, it goes both deeper and shallower than a simple "apples to oranges" comparison. It's more like comparing fried chicken and ice cream: they're both edible and they both ultimately serve the same purpose, but outside of that and some arbitrary measurements there's really nothing in common.

Changing the color of your hood from the original color to Primer black and then think your cool.
I half way understand if your hood or trunk is REAL Carbon Fiber, but really..... primer a perfectly nicely painted hood black just to give the appearance, from far away, of Carbon Fiber.... That's Ghetto!

i know a lot of car guys who view everything they don't own as wrong you can imagine what i come across owning both an integra and corvette. around here. WRX guys go after everyone, they dislike everyone equally. evo's are probably their biggest rival {no suprise there} the honda guys are divided into two crouds. smart and ricers. the smart guys usually are found at drag races and autocross. the ricers at stoplights with beanies pulled over their eyes slouched to the floor, ebay exhaust screaming. the corvette guys? well they hangout at the old folks homes okay, maybe not but i'm always the youngest guy at lap days. i don't think you will find any rival cars that don't also have owners wanting to challenge the other. all of these cars have pros and cons, which, most the time the other side doesn't want to talk about.

I guess the point that I really didn't get across in my above post is that rivalries and competition amongst the various automotive crowds seem to stem from all the most terrible reasons and/or an absurd lack of information. I've always had a sneaking suspicion that every car guy has something patently unreasonable going on inside their brain and that particular "something" seems to manifest itself in myriad ways, most commonly by way of unexplained loyalty and selective ignorance (both of which I usually qualify as "unreasonable" in a general sense).

Or having HUGE aluminum Tow hooks when you never get towed or use them to tie your car down to a trailor. How many of them are actually used?

Re: most idiotic, but common honda mods and ideas (idrivesideways)
I'll focus on brake upgrades:
redrilling a 5x114.3mm pattern to 4x100mm and overlapping lug holes
installing larger rotors that have a larger centerbore than the hub (non-ITR has a 64mm bore, ITR has a 70mm bore)
installing large brakes (calipers intended for the front) on the rear of the vehicle that has a 60% to 40% f/r weight distribution
installing washers between the hub and brake rotor to obtain the proper offset for a brake upgrade
running slotted and/or cross-drilled rotors on a DD

Re: (Dc4iNtEgRa)
People who post threads about "How much horsepower will a Intake, Header, or exhaust give me?"
People who call a "header" , Headers.... Theres just ONE on a honda.( 4 Cylinder)

Re: (Dc4iNtEgRa)
I've had a few beers, so my thinking process is slow...
People who put "HONDA" , "CIVIC" , "INTEGRA" , banners on your windshield... We all know what car you drive...
Blue, green, and pink rims on a different color car... If your a lady, thats fine. If its a guy, he just wants attention, and was neglected growing up.
I will think of more
